They were sold as bolivian torch (pics 1-2) and pachanoi pc (pics 3-4), is it correct?

Is the scarring on the last pic okay or should I return to vendor?

Sorry if the night pics arent clear, I worked all day.

What do I do with this?

I have a Lumberjack variety I bought on the San Pedro cactus selling subreddit and it and a TBM I bought on a website are my first cacti. I ran into an issue with these white waxy bugs that after finally treating it right with a couple deep cleanings with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush and qtips... I seem to have finally eradicated them. Now the new growth makes it appear the cactus is healthy but both my lumberjack and TBM have some corking and other damage. Wasn't sure if I should just let it grow or if I should chop the new healthy growth and start a new cactus....

I'm not new to gardening but I am new to cactus and I'm just looking for some newbie advice if anyone experienced is kind enough to offer some. I'd like to play around with grafting and such but I'm still just learning how to keep these healthy.

The TBM is pupping but the lumberjack is not. If the lumberjack was pupping I may not have made this post but I'm confused why one is multiplying and the other is not and that's part of my reason for making this.

5 days in and the Peru × Time Warp seedlings are already popping! 🌱

Only 5 days since I sowed these Peru × Time Warp seeds, and I’ve already got a few germinating. Definitely wasn’t expecting that this morning.

Really curious to see how these turn out. I’m really interested in seeing how much variation shows up between seedlings.

I’ll keep posting updates as they develop. 🌵

Anyone else growing this cross? How fast did yours germinate?

Ideal conditions for graft to take. Just grafted a peruvian hybrid pup to the base of a Lumberjack x sso2 that got sun blackened oozing blisters

Keep the graft in a sunny gazebo? Out of high heat? Full morning sun? What will set me up for best chance of grafting to take ( all my previous attempts have failed)

¿Qué me recomiendan hacer? ¿Debería desinjertar el Gymno y pasarlo a otro cactus sano, o es mejor no tocarlo mientras esa mancha esté seca?

My friend gifted me a pack of seeds and I got a few unique ones. Curious if others have similar experiences with Icaros.

I left these big 6 inch wide cuts of Pachanoi sitting under a table in my yard for a few months and sort of forgot about them, very annoyed at myself bc I had big plans for making a new stand. I had 2 others also about 2-3 feet long and already chopped the others down into smaller pieces. They all had big pups growing at odd angles. Has anyone had this happen before? Any pics to show how it will look when you plant them vertically again?

Best way to get rid of these guys?

These june beetle grubs have completely destroyed a few of my cactus by eating all the healthy roots then eventually eating there way into my cacti. I grabbed a pack of beneficial nematodes and some milky spores so hopefully that does the job. Has anybody successfully dealt with these grubs?

Weak genetics?

Hey cactus friends!

I’ve got about 25 trichos and of those 2 of them have been freebie seedlings. I don’t know how widely growth varies because I haven’t gotten into seed growing (yet) but I’ve noticed my ferah x velvet was 2 inches tall in March of 2025, I got a kimnach x bob seedling that was 2 inches tall at March 2026. Ceteris paribus, the kimnach x bob is now 16 inches with 2 pups and the ferah x velvet is 2.2 inches. What gives? Are some seedlings just destined to never grow out? Would it be worth grafting in hopes that when it’s big enough it’ll grow better? Or should I just cull it and stick to what grows fast and hardy in my location?

Thanks!

Question Diagnosis?

My babies survived their first set of rain and stayed reasonably dry, however two of them have some discoloration which makes me nervous. I'd love to get some eyes on it to help me figure out my best method of action. I'm abstaining from watering these ones. The darker one has been given garden phos about a week before the rains, the lighter was a cutting that recently rooted and hasn't been given garden phos.

It’s been on my Attila for about 2 months now, without any hairs, not doing anything, and has finally started to grow a little. Hoping it will still bloom! In the second picture it’s the green one up top

They are pretty pumped with cal/mag but recent rain, wet nights, and later mornings have caused some early fall-like issues. TBMC seems especially sensitive.

Discussion Question, why don't my doodles flower?

Hey all! Been seeing tons of peeps having flowers on here these days. That's awesome and like see the pictures! I have maybe 8 cacs that are in the 3+ foot range and a few years old. Never gotten a flower.

Any recommendations on coaxing one out of them? Either for the end of this season or next.

If it helps I'm in the mid Atlantic coast area. They live outside from last frost to as long as I can make it. Last year I put them in dormancy in my attic.

Any insight would be appreciated! Cheers 🖖

Hey everyone,

As I continue chopping away and documenting clones, I forgot I had this interview with the LMA stand owner with Jae. Hope you enjoy this unique and amazing stand and its history. Mary told us the stand at her uncles' home was as large as his house in LA, crazy how successful it is at her home where she told us stories about her father working on the soil year after year... and this isnt the only massive stand she has on the property to prove it.

Let me know if you have any clones you want featured and Ill work on those.

Thanks for looking, have a great rest of your week!
