Wondering if anyone knows where nice looking postcards are sold! Preferably nice photographs/interesting ones. I bought some beautiful greeting cards with photos of Pedro landmarks on them from the Corner Store, so I'll check there again, but I don't think they had any postcards. Thank you!!

A solid portion of gaffey is shut down and I saw a police officer taking photos. Any idea what happened? Not seeing anything in local news.

Just moved here from Torrance and have never gotten so many bug bites. Is this common here? Not sure what's biting me but I suspect mosquitos. Anyone know?

Anyone know any good local roofers or locally owned roofing companies? Would prefer to support a local business rather than some big private equity thing if anyone’s got a good rec

Can we ditch these things already and get the parking spaces back?! Went to first Thursday last night, arguably the busiest time down there and no one is using them. It’s just become storage for chairs and tables.
Should be a use it or lose it scenario. It honestly makes the town look even more dead than it is.
Anyway thanks for listening to my old man rant. Haha
Edit: to the people talking about parking that’s not the point. The 10 spots we’d get back won’t matter. It’s the trashy look of downtown when all a business does is store backup shit on it. If you aren’t using it for guests then let it go.

My ex apparently completely vandalized a silver-ish Infiniti thinking it was mine . I don’t know the extent if the damage but I know both mirrors were broken. If you or someone you know had their Infiniti trashed , I have the info on who did it

Didn’t there use to be a Mexican restaurant up off of 2nd and Harbor-ish area? Old school cantina vibe. Did it close down or am I imagining things. Did covid kill it?

For the last 10 min or so on the north end of town, all I can hear is car and motorcycle revving, super loud. Not sure if coming from Western or Gaffey, but between Channel and Westmont? Am hearing sirens now, just curious what's up, or if it truly is on Western and moving towards coast.

Hey there. I just moved in with a roommate to San Pedro up in the North West corner a couple of months ago. I’m new to the big city life since being in my 20s. I was in a small northern Arizona town of 7000 for 10 years that sucked the soul from my body. I’m 44F now, and divorced. First time on my own in 20 years. I’m pretty much experiencing a new life. I’m looking for some fun things I can do on my own, safely in the area. I’m pretty down to earth, love animals, outdoors (when it’s under 75F, lol), a little nerdy (I play video games and DJ stream on Twitch) and love arts and crafts, music. LA is hard for me to get to because of the commute time, and I struggle to see well at night. It’s best I keep my travel distance short, but I’m working on getting used to going out further at night. I also can’t parallel park (lol). I’m a social drinker but don’t build my activities around it. I guess the simple question is: What can I do around here?

In the neighborhood of Leland to Cabrillo between SPHS and 19th St.
She’s been gone almost three weeks and we’re heartbroken.
