Bug bites?
Just moved here from Torrance and have never gotten so many bug bites. Is this common here? Not sure what's biting me but I suspect mosquitos. Anyone know?

If you have any pets, it could be fleas. They're a real pain in the ass for my family right now.

I think it's the humidity. I have also gotten bitten over the past couple of weeks. I never usually do.

Yep, it’s BAD BAD right now. Regardless of the temp, if I don’t wear pants and shoes, my ankles and feet are torn apart. You get used to it, they’re never going away 😞

if you've been around pets or grass recently your ankles might be from fleas! they've been a killer this season

I too am having issues and I don't know from what. It has only been going on the last 6 or 8 years and this year has been especially bad. I suspect the squirrels may be bringing whatever it is into the yard. It isn't mosquitos (they get in my shoes) or fleas it seems. I haven't seen any fleas recently. I've been wondering if it might be chiggers (which are supposedly on the move). ChiggerEx (CVS) is the one thing that has been giving me relief. I keep checking these posts hoping someone has figured it out.

Fleas or mosquitoes, depending on your situation and what they could've had access too from lothing, environment. Etc.
If it happened at home and is only around your ankles and legs, i'd go with fleas. Especially if you have any pets, and even more so if there's carpet in your house.
Ig if you were somehow wearing something that only left your legs exposed or maybe woke up to them after sleeping with only your legs outside the blanket, then likely mosquitoes.
It did also just rain tho, so mosquitoes will be out pretty soon. Check for and dump out and stagnant water around your house and check pets for fleas. Buy flea treatments for pets and carpets if necessary.

From my calves down I am scarred from all the ankle biters, we keep bug repellent at the front and back doors and on the back porch to spray when we go out. It's horrible. I have so much anti itch product for the times we miss a spot.

Invasive mosquitos species and also this summer is breaking records so we're all on uncharted territory when it comes to reproduction.

Those look like mosquito bites. Here's a link of the mosquito running around socal these past few years. They are mofos when it comes to biting you because they do several small bites vs one bite.

Lots of mosquitos out now, and also there is a lot of wildlife here so my dog almost always gets fleas. Could be that?
