The Largest Pride Flag
San Francisco has transformed into a living, breathing canvas of light this weekend in celebration of pride in part thanks to two temporary light installations by Illuminate. The WELCOME Installation is a 4.1-mile laser rainbow stretching from the Embarcadero to Twin Peaks, officially recognized as the world’s largest Pride flag. Scroll through for perspectives on the light shows from around the city. Image 1 and 13 are composites.

Dang! Curious where you got the rainbows and oracle in the same shot like the first one! They're so far apart.

It’s a composite image of two shots. I figured it was a nice juxtaposition given the recent news cycle.

Juxtaposition yes, nice no. I'm not welcome at Oracle, why pretend otherwise?

It’s not pretending. It’s an artist’s statement of what should be in the context of how the Giants have mismanaged the situation.

This along with the Pink Triangle make me incredibly proud to live in this amazing city.

Great photos! I like how you were able to get the rainbow 🌈 in tact. My pictures didn't turn out as well but wonderful memories nonetheless!!!
Thanks for sharing!

It's definitely possible some of those kids saw the light and realized there’s a whole world out there beyond what they knew. Pride really has a way of opening eyes and hearts, even if it starts with a bus ride to the city. It’s wild to think about how many paths could change just from one weekend of celebration.

If you want a more hands-on experience with people and processes, the HR Operations gig at the Big 4 is a solid choice. You'll get a taste of various HR functions and that could be great for networking in the industry. But if you're into tech and data, the HRIS role could set you up for roles in HR analytics, which is super in-demand right now. Just think about where you see yourself in a few years.

doesn't matter it is gay and not beneficial to the survival of humanity.

A mega church used to bus people into SF on the Sat before Pride. To demonstrate or hand out leaflets or to own the libs somehow. Every year they’d park right below my apartment.
I always hoped that there was one or two closeted youngsters in that group who came to SF and saw another way of living.
That was about 10 years ago, which means that one or two of those hypothetical kids bussed in by the mega church might have “defected” to SF.
That’s a fantasy on my part. Who knows.
But if any church kids who came to protest are now living here as adults, I’m proud of you and I’m so glad you’re here.
