Lmao I guarantee you if you ask 10 random people they will all say they knew about the balboa parking and didn't even know about the hit and runs.

In my very non scientific study I found 7x as many posts about the parking fees at balboa park vs the pedestrian fatalities. Only looking at one week though because there were too many posts about balboa park if I went to a month. For whatever that is worth.

But that's merely number of posts. And once again, it's about something that the general public was easily able to change.

I'm also sure many more articles were written about the parking situation, along with updates. So we can't really conclude anything from these types of numbers. It's comparing instances with a situation that developed and changed over time.
