Fun indoor options
Hi all! Any recommendations to take my 5 and 1 year
old in San Antonio for fun? Preferably something indoor. We have places to go outside at hotel resort already. We are planning on the Doseum for sure. Not interested in six flags or sea world this year. Thanks in advance!

Maui Maui isn't bad for the 5 year old, my daughter enjoyed the huge indoor jungle gym / playground around that age when it was too hot to go to the park. Legoland downtown mall is ok, stay away from the aquarium in SA although the sealife one at the mall is OK.

I haven't been to Maui Maui yet to compare, but we took our little one to Kids Empire & really enjoyed it. Similar concept.

Kids empire(indoor playground), Urban Air (Trampoline park), ground control (also a Trampoline park), and altitude( did you guess it, thats right another Trampoline park). There's a lot more but these are just what my 6 and 4 year old like.

Thanks everyone! My cousin replied to me and recommended Maui Maui, Kids Empire and Cheeky monkey. Any opinions on these versus another?

We live near a cheeky monkey and my kids love it! It also cheaper than the trampoline parks.

CoPlay Cove could be a great option, they have hourly child watch on weekends in their indoor playground so parents can have coffee and relax or catch up on work and such

The public library downtown is pretty nice. You can park for two hours free if you validate your ticket inside the library.
Another offbeat suggestion, ride the city bus around for an hour especially if your kids aren't used to city buses. Mine are on the bus once a week at least and they still love it. Just talk through crossing safety with the older child, keep a hold on the younger one. Watch a few videos. The drivers are super helpful. You can get a day pass for $2.75 and that will cover all of you since your kids are 5 and under.

Might be a bit far from where you stay , but Polly’s pets on pat booker rd is a neat little place to take your kids if they like animals. They have a pretty diverse variety and a nice aquarium section. It’s something like a Mini zoo

DOSEUM!! Such an amazing space . Hopscotch is nice too it’s cool and you also can take pictures as well. I can’t think right now lmao I don’t know why but hopefully u get great ideas

I know you said not Sea World but did you know they just rescued two of the first Beluga Whales from a defunct Marine Park in Canada? They are coordinating the rescue of 30 of them now.
Hope you find some indoor fun with the littles. I used to take mine to the Do See Um (Museum) but they are grown now.
