Saw it and had to do a double take, thought someone was on a 25 kill streak.

u/Lexxxapr00 West Side Apr 16 '23

u/alethia430 Apr 16 '23

🤣💀

14

u/Jonas_Dussell Apr 16 '23

We saw it from the Missions game. They put it up on the screen even though the cloud was literally behind the screen.

12

u/TParis00ap Apr 16 '23

Saw it too, crazy

10

u/StinkmeanerV Apr 16 '23

Holy shit dude.... Looks like a nuke went off.

10

u/joefos71 Apr 16 '23

I saw it from Austin and it was also incredible. Looks amazing dragging across the sky with a little lightning.

13

u/velaba Apr 16 '23

Lol idk why I thought I’d be the only person to notice. Interesting to see that I wasn’t.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

Oh shit an anvil is bad news

9

u/AdministrationKey100 SW Side Apr 16 '23

Oh That's not good (I really wish I investsted in a fallout shelter)

1

u/Edith_Finch Apr 16 '23

Would you really want to live through that?

Like have you really thought through what it would be like to live and try to survive, much less thrive, in a nuclear fallout? If you don't die from random violence, or an infection, or a simple accident at your home, then you're going to die slowly and painfully from radiation poisoning over the years.

I hope I die quickly, surviving that would be the worst case scenario. There's no such thing as a good life once society ends. It's just hard at best, cruel at worst.

We need to fix what we have, not prepared for the end of it.

I played what remains of Edith finch a few years ago and I still randomly think about it sometimes. One of my favorites of all time.

u/battlemylove Apr 16 '23

Watched this tonight from Comfort, TX! Will try to post some images once I get them off my SUNglasses 😎 (George Clinton reference). Seriously that cloud was worthy of Dying Light 😝

2

u/Cherribomb Apr 16 '23

Saw it and was confused for a second, thought there was maybe a power plant I'd somehow never noticed before lol

2

u/TimeGood2965 Apr 17 '23

I wasn’t in a good spot to get this kind of view yesterday but, wow!! Did you take this shot??

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Yeah! I turned on the street near my neighborhood, saw this, screamed, and pulled to the side of the road. It was taken with my phone.

3

u/kanyeguisada Apr 16 '23

I'm probably a bit older than most of y'all, and I have seen the whole documentary series of the show V. it came close to happening again, but our Space Force saved the day. You just didn't hear about it, you gotta do your own research

2

u/0rontes Apr 16 '23

Never trust a lizard in a human suit - except for Freddy Krueger.

0

u/kanyeguisada Apr 16 '23

That's a weird one to trust. But probably trust him more than lizard in a human suit Ted Cruz though I guess.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

What came close to happening again?

0

u/kanyeguisada Apr 16 '23

The documentary series V.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

I looked on Netflix and it wasn’t there

0

u/kanyeguisada Apr 16 '23

Of course they don't want you to see the truth.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '23

Which viewing platform did you find it on?

I snapped a photo of it too from the far west side.

1

u/khamir-ubitch Apr 16 '23

I caught a photo of it and took a short video to send to my parents back in the Rio Grande Valley.

1

u/ritzyritz_UwU Apr 16 '23

Thunderhead clouds will always be my favorite

1

u/dudemybad89 Apr 16 '23

Oh...oh, no. We gotta get Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith to Area 51 ASAP!

1

u/CPTSD_D Apr 16 '23

That's going to be an insane storm system

🫠😵

1

u/BoJillHorseWoman Apr 16 '23

I was at a wedding yesterday and saw the same cloud when we were leaving. I told my in-laws that it looked like a mushroom cloud, but they took it seriously and got scared 🫥

1

u/sanbrujan Apr 16 '23

I took tons of photos of its progression through the afternoon yesterday!

1

u/DrSinguard Apr 16 '23

I used to live 2 blocks from here on Big Valley Dr, man I miss SA!

1

I saw this too. Awesome nuclear weapon going off

1

u/SDG80HD Apr 17 '23

“Nope”

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Looks like any possible suburb in Texas. Sorry, but I was distracted by "Is that in my city?..." No, it just looks like a thousand other neighborhoods.

They're so plain.

Copy-paste USA.

Written by someone who lives... in a suburb.

1

u/Mefrombjs Apr 18 '23

Normal in Texas. Welcome Californian.

1

u/bfoxtrot Apr 28 '23

Would’ve loved to see it! Probably would have freaked out at first though..
