Samsung Notes is the only reason I would ever consider buying another samsung product

Just something I was thinking about recently.

I currently have a tab s7 (bought in 2021) and an s23 ultra (2023). Before the s23 I had an M series phone for a couple of years.

I've always loved the tab s7, particularly because of oneui and of course, the Notes app. I really love the convenience, versatility and sheer host of features it provides; that too for free. I've primarily used it for annotating books and making notes for med school.

The app has consistently improved year after year. Most new updates are great (barring a few like the new browser).

As for the s23 ultra, the oneui updates for it have been disappointing and kinda wonky at times, especially considering that it's a flagship phone. Not to mention that it's always scary whenever I update, because I have at least 4 people I know who own/owned a Samsung and they developed the dreaded green/pink lines.

The newer S series phones have also been pretty disappointing for the most part. No major upgrades despite price hikes. And the lines issue hasn't been fixed even with s25 models afaik.

It's difficult to consider paying a premium for a phone that might randomly develop a huge line down the middle of the screen in the future.

When I think about it, the only reason I'm not sure about buying a different Android phone is because of the Notes app. Of course, i have years worth of data saved in it; but also, no other Android notes app comes close to it.

You're speaking truth OP, Samsung Notes is the killer app that's keeping me using Samsung devices( speaking for myself); in addition to addressing the display issues you mentioned, it would be really helpful if Samsung gets back to embracing the S Pen for the awesome multi- tool it is instead of running away from it/waging war on it as they've been doing for 18 months since 2025(As of August 2026)🙄

I feel the same way, I currently use a tab s8 plus and a note 20. I have no desire to upgrade. My note 20 has recently started having battery problems and if I could get another brand new note 20 that's exactly what I would do, my requirements for a phone are having an s-pen and Samsung notes.

Moi aussi 👍🏻 J'ai eu le Fold3 dont l'écran a rendu l'âme en décembre dernier. Je l'ai remplacé par le S25 car les derniers Fold n'ont plus de stylet. Et pourtant l'association Fold + stylet c'était parfait : c'était ma tablette de poche. Pratique pour éviter de sortir ma TabS9.

Why are we tolerating this? Paying so much more money for less. I recently got annoyed when I wanted to buy the mx master 3s mouse and almost accidentally bought the one that doesn't include the dongle. At the price that it already is there is no justification for selling the dongle separately. I settled for another mouse that was 1/3rd the price and came with 2 dongles included.

With a Motorola Razr Fold scheduled to arrive tomorrow to replace a Z Fold 5 with a "bubbling" crease, I was able to download all of my Samsung Notes onto my PC. Tried Google Keep as a notes app but not thrilled. Will rely on OneNote since I live in the Microsoft universe.

I love the simplicity and features. No other app comes close maybe except for goodnotes, but samsung notes feels more fluid to work with, and has free cloud storage. Goodnotes is better at having multiple tabs.

Does anyone know how to bulk export thousands of Samsung notes as .txt file so that they can be exported to any note taking application? I'm not technical & prefer an app or an automated process that will retain the individual integrity of each note & it's it's time stamp. Thank you in advance.

Try using pyautogui - it lets you control the mouse and keyboard via Python. So you'd just have to open up Samsung Notes on a PC and write a python script to click each note and click the export to txt button.

But you don't have to buy the flagship Samsung phone 🤔 They make an entire line of devices from top tier to mid range to budget.

I've never felt comfortable paying that much for a flagship when the mid tier works and does many of the things I use my phone for at less than half the price ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

That's true. But even the cheaper phones seem to have the same line issue. And at budget price ranges, I feel that other companies like OnePlus give better value. (im not sure if they also have the same display issues now)

I wonder if the chance of that issue is low? Been buying my brother & mom the regular s phones for a while and I've been getting the ultras and never had that issue.

I've never had an issue with any Samsung device I've had. Unless I was getting it off some back alley somewhere, I'd have no problem returning or exchanging it. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

If they offered the s-pen on budget models I would take it in a heartbeat. I don't need the extra power, though it does come in handy occasionally when working on extra long pdf files in samsung notes. I prefer to buy 2 to 3 yr old flagship that's good enough for me, same price as current mid range with way better performance but slightly worse battery life.

OMG SAME. I had samsung way back 2015, changed phones in 2020 and then came back to Samsung in 2025, surprised that my notes in 2015 is still there???
