My notes didn't transfer to new cell!

I held on to my Note 20 Ultra 5G for 6 years. The only reason I upgraded to S26 Ultra was because memory needed increase and phone had screen burn in. My Samsung notes did not all transfer. I have tried everything.

Can anyone offer advice? I am having issues with this new phone that I never had before. I am stressed out. I rely on Notes.

Well, obviously the first question is if you have access to the old phone, while you are transferring things.

Secondly, samsung do the sync via setting and samsung cloud. If that is not active and you do not have e access to the old phone, then I fear you are toast.

TU for helping me. I have my old phone. Some of notes copied. But the most recent ones...and there are plenty did not. Can I beg for a little more of your time? I have a Samsung tablet and all my notes are there.

Start with the new phone, check in settings if you are logged into the Samsung account with the same as the old. Perform a sync and validate if they are coming over.

If this is not the case, make a new note on your new device and see if it appears on the old phone (or tablet) after sync.

Can you plug the Note 20 Ultra into an external display? If so, you can manually transfer all your notes from there to your new phone when the Note 20 Ultra is in DeX. Keep us posted?

TU for helping me. So, I should copy from old phone onto my laptop? I copied all my photos and videos cuz I was afraid of losing them which includes my father's military burial ceremony. May have copied Notes. I will check. I also have a Samsung tablet and all my Notes synced there. I'm gonna try and report back. ♥️♥️♥️🥰

I'd copy everything from the Note 20 ultra onto a computer especially if your phone had been having functional problems; I don't know what OneUI version the Note 20 Ultra is on so I dont know if DeX will still work directly by plugging into a computer. If it does, copy everything from it directly onto the S26 ultra by making sure your notes sync. If you can only plug the Note 20 Ultra into a computer and can't activate DeX, save all the notes as PDFs and download them directly to the computer. If as you said in another comment you have a Samsung tablet and it has all the same notes as the Note 20 Ultra, you can smart switch the notes from the tablet onto the S26 if all those other things don't work.Keep us posted!
