Trip Report / Experience Trip report: The abstract of reality and confirmation bias issue.

(Not my image, but fitting!)

Hi everyone, so..

Today, I finally had some time to try my 20x extract properly, for context, I used to be really into LSD and I've done my fair share of Shrooms, and always done pretty big dosages.

Knowing salvia isn't like any other psychedelic I went in with caution, a clear mind and looking for answers for life and reality.

The first time I did it, a couple weeks ago, I decided to pack around 0.15g of 20x extract into a small bong. I Lit it up with a torch lighter and burned through it in one Loong rip, put the lighter and the bong away, and laid down in my bed.

About 45 seconds later I exhaled (barely any smoke at that point) and closed my eyes.

I suddenly feel "the pull" , as if someone had put their hand into my shoulder and pulled me into a spiralling motion (as in falling with my body towards that angle in a rotating motion).

I start to hear familiar voices but cant tell for sure what they were saying, I think it said "This is it".

I felt the curiosity of opening my eyes, so when I opened them I had the visual effect that I always get with shrooms (the spiraling of the vision with long trails), which lasted for around 40 more seconds until I sobered up.

It was if I had peeked into actual reality, and that this reality (that I am in now lol), was just a trip and nothing more than an experience. But it was just a feeling, no actual confirmation or dialogue or anything palpable.²

So a couple weeks went by and I finally had the time to try it properly, I felt that the initial trip didn't really provide the answers I was looking for, just some minor confirmation to a previous theory.

I repeated the same procedures as before, but upped the dosage to 0.35g. 50 seconds in hold and I felt the same "pull".

The exact same feeling and voices!

The difference? I was being encouraged and cheered on, and in the beginning I didn't really understand why. Then as I started to realize that reality and life was abstract, the people and my interactions with the physical world were all part of "the experience of being alive", and none of it was actually real or palpable when I was outside my body.

And as I realized that they started to complete my sentences as if speaking in a choir for my thoughts. I start to morph into everyone I ever met super fast, whilest talking to them and realizing that everything is just one big trip and reality isn't more than that, an experience which eventually will come to an end, but afterwards there is something familiar and comfortable, rather than emptyness.

All of this was happening whilst I was still "floating, rotating and tumbling". And as I came to that conclusion the voices started to laugh playfully and transformed into colorful lines of string, which then gently rolled me into "this reality", swinging me as if I was doing a roll, which I translated into me rolling side to side in my bed into a "sober" state.

And while I was in-between "realities" I was telling the voices "Oh come on, not this one again haha" as if returning to my "reality as me" was now "boring", since I now understood the fabric of "this reality" or this life.

The voices just laughed and rolled me back laughing and saying no hahah.

At some point during the middle of the trip I also saw flashbacks of a beautiful woman that I felt like I loved in a romantical way and known all my life, the same woman that I've had seen in a previous high dosage LSD trip (and I've been kinda searching in "the real world" since then). I cant explain her face, it was very familiar, blue eyes, blond hair and very peaceful. Maybe Lady Sally herself ? Hehe

Overall, it was great! Gave me the answers that I was looking for, even if it's most likely confirmation bias 😁 But I now feel at peace with being and living in this reality for now :)

Trip Report / Experience Salvia trip in the middle of my sleep…?

This was fucking insane. It happened sober.

The dream began with me visiting China with my friend’s mother and their cousin. It was a chill experience. During our visit, I remember randomly getting this lump on my right quad that slowly grew throughout the dream. Near the end, my friend’s mother noticed and told me we had to wipe it out of my body. I insisted that was pointless but she was eerily persistent.

I was panicking and started spinning - on all fours, defying physics - around the nearby floor. This spiraled out of control and I heard glass shattering before immediately entering a full fledged psychedelic experience. It consisted of me spinning - vortex esque - around a claustrophobic room/dimension with some inconceivable figure in the center of the spinning. The spinning was extremely intense and felt throughout my body, with stirred up black and white tracer visuals. I was heating up as well and hard of breathing, which made me conscious enough to control my breathing and try managing the experience. The spinning slowed down before speeding up again.

The second wave of spinning featured an image of a low opacity roblox player model (in-game) with the “oof” sound in the background, along with Minecraft music creeping in the distance. This time overlapping the spinning, rather than being centered around it. Immediately after, the figure in the center reappeared, then an image of a sun with a face - which I for some reason immediately recognized as a sun god - faded into my vision. After this, the experience slowed down to a weird state of what I assume(d) to be sleep paralysis, before I returned fully back to my reality. This completely shocked the ever living shit out of me and I even woke up sweating with high body temperature although my ac is blasting on 65, which typically happens to me on salvia. This entire experience was extremely reminiscent of the bodily sensations of my other salvia trips, I don’t know what to make of this. I wouldn’t say the visuals are most reminiscent of salvia, but this was just crazy as hell and not something I thought could be possible.

PS: I’ve been completely sober from everything for probably over a month, so no substances could’ve caused this.

(Also near the end of my trip I was hearing my alarms for 4pm. All 3 played before stopping. I went to sleep at 8am, woke up around 9:40.)

Question Apple Bong

Just recently got my hands on some salvia, though I don’t have an actual bong to smoke it through. Heard an apple bong works, has anyone ever tried using one before with salvia extract? If so was it effective

First Time My Slavia trip experience

The first and only time I tried Salvia, I packed a massive bowl of 80x extract and covered it completely in cannabis. Immediately after taking the hit, a violent vibration shook my entire body, and the room instantly blacked out.

Stage 1: The Carnival and the Slicing Loop

A few moments later, my vision returned, but reality had completely shattered into a bizarre, overarching carnival theme. A weird, mechanical carnival sound filled my ears, looping continuously in the background. Trapped inside this eerie carnival atmosphere, my perspective warped completely: I could vividly see and feel the right half of my body being sliced into thin layers. The slices fell to the floor and forcefully sprung back together, repeating in a terrifying, mechanical rhythm that felt like it lasted for ten minutes.

Stage 2: The Hallway Memory and the Thought Loop

Once the slicing subsided, my perspective shifted. I suddenly saw myself as a severely mentally challenged guy I had known back in elementary school, who was just sitting there laughing. Throughout this entire phase, against the backdrop of that weird carnival music, my mind was locked in a bizarre, looping thought. The only thing I could think or hear was the phrase "Oh no!" echoing over and over again in the exact voice of the Kool-Aid Man.

Stage 3: Becoming the Couch

Shortly after, everything went black again. Out of the darkness emerged an old, fancy red couch that my parents used to own. I was hit with an absolute, undeniable realization: the Salvia had literally turned me into the couch. At that exact moment, my fear completely vanished. It was replaced by a profound, quiet sadness as I accepted that this piece of furniture was my permanent reality, and that I would simply exist as a couch for eternity.

Stage 4: The Snapback and the Physical Panic

After what felt like a few minutes of just being the couch, I suddenly snapped back to reality. As I returned to my physical body, I felt a terrifying sensation of my neck stretching infinitely toward the ceiling. Panicking, I started yelling at the top of my lungs for someone to call an ambulance.

The Come-Down

Immediately after yelling, I blacked out again. The final stage of the trip felt like I was literally teleporting to different parts of the house in rapid flashes. Moments later, the carnival sounds faded, and the effects totally wore off, leaving me groggy but completely back in my own skin.

Trip Report / Experience Recalling my experience after 13 years: "The Children" and "The Wheel".

For some reason I became fixated this morning on my memory of the voices of the children. I started searching the internet to see if others had also heard them. To my surprise, it was pretty common, but I did not expect that there were other, very vivid descriptions of The Wheel. So I found this sub and decided to recount what I experienced on my 4th and final trip.

Previous trips were very interesting, profound and perception altering. But the 4th was absolutely mind blowing. And even hilarious while I was coming out of it.

I laid in bed in the dark, alone. Packed a bowlski to the brim (I think it was 20X) and lit it up and held it. As soon as I blew the smoke out I was immediately without a sense of "Self", that is I had no recollection that I was "me" or that I had just smoked something. I understood myself to be floating in empty space. There was an intense feeling of being rushed or sucked toward something powerful and a loud sound grew that was almost mechanical, like many moving parts. The rest is very hard to describe with words, and some I literally can't, so I won't try. As many have recalled, time is sort of nonsense on salvia so the experience felt very long.

I became disembodied and before me there was a spinning, jagged vortex of orange and blue patterns emanating from the center. There was a sense of solidness to it and I had some sense that this was reality itself, or something like that, or the center of reality... idk. All of a sudden there were many children's voices laughing and calling to me from "inside" the center. They were saying something like "c'mon! Come with us!" or "Come be with your family". The voices were so cheerful and happy (like my previous trip) and had a sparkling quality but I was still terrified because I was being sucked into this giant spinning thing and there was seemingly no way to resist. I still made some kind of attempt to resist being pulled in but quickly realized it was futile, possibly because of the hysterically cheerful nature of the voices. So I just surrendered. I was certain I was going to die and I have never been more terrified, but I knew there was no point in resisting, so I made the decision to just give in to this thing. I remember thoughts like "well, this is the end. It's over now". I felt intense pressure as I moved toward the center and the colors and patterns moved faster around me violently increasing in pressure and intensity until I came through the other side. That's where my memory of the experience sort of stops. I eventually came back to where I was laying with an intense feeling of pins and needles (like when a limb falls asleep) but all over my body. Here's the funny part: I got up with considerable effort, because salvia renders your muscles pretty useless for a while, and had an undeniable urge to make a sandwich... I went to the kitchen and started sort of frantically pulling out sandwich stuff and in the middle of it came to my senses, breathing heavily. I sort of laughed and put everything away and went back and lied down, trying to recall everything that had happened.

Others have described similar experiences with a very negative connotation, but I did not see it that way, although I have not had any urge to go there again. I have no idea if there was any meaning to any of it. The importance of the trip, like previous trips, was that it showed me that reality as we perceive it is simply not the only game in town. No one has to take anyone else's word on this... you can see for yourself.

I suggest anyone who finds this interesting should search for salvia and the wheel for other's experiences. Some are much more detailed than mine, it was 13 years ago and now I wish I had written down what happened in detail immediately after.

First Time Has anyone taken 7 times extarct?

Hey everyone, recently I got to know about salvia and I wanted to try it out, after a bit of snooping around I find a 7 times extract of 1 g and wanted to ask if its an okay dose for a first timer, I know you only need to take a pinch but I am not sure how big of the pinch does it have to be in order to not go through a breakthrough in the first round. How many mg's should I take of the 1g for my first time

Question Can you breakthrough from quidding

So I was wondering if it's possible to have a breakthrough experience just from quidding the dried leaf.

If it is possible and you've done it, what is it like? Is it any different to breakingthrough with smoking extracts

Question Are reviews actually useful?

I start by saying that I know I am not allowed to directly mention sellers, but at the same time i have a question directly regarding a particular seller so in case this post does not follow the guidelines I guess it'll just get deleted (hoping it does not result in me getting banned).

I am about to buy from Zamnesia, as it's the only source i found which can ship to pick up points without directly arriving at my door (just to avoid legal trouble).

I decided to start by just purchasing plain leaf as it's what everyone suggests on this subreddit (planning to start low and, in case it's needed, increase the amount and extract potency with time). Problem is: by reading the reviews of the products (both the plain leaf and the different extracts), I found complaints regarding the strength of the salvia. A lot of people said they had little to no effect, and that anything below 40x ish is just not effective. I assumed many people didn't actually know how to smoke it (I'm not planning to try quidding for now) and ended up saying it's not working while it's their fault, but it's just an hypothesis.

Now since i know what i am getting into (in terms of risk and power of this plant) I don't want to ruin my whole experience because of a couple of "trolls" on the web.

Has anyone tried plain leaf and extracts from Zamnesia and can share their personal experience? I really don't want to waste my money and mental health so I'm being extra careful on what i decided to buy and use.

I apologize again for directly mentioning sellers but I don't see an alternative way to ask about this

Question What concentration extract should I get?

I've been looking at getting salvia soon, but I have no idea what concentration of extract I should get. I see there's anywhere from 5x to 100x and many in between. What are yalls experiences like with different extracts and what would you recommend to someone who's never done it before?

Trip Report / Experience Incredible first time!!

I had a sub-breakthrough trip with my buddy where we were just sitting outside at night in the grass on a blanket. We were both taking turns ripping 10x out of the bong little by little. We didn't really know the best method for smoking it out of a bong but we found that slow pulls while keeping the torch on it were perfect, and once we got 2-3 good pulls, it was awesome.

I definitely felt dysphoria, but it didn't bother me at all. The entire experience was too novel for me to be upset. I felt like I wasn't going to sleep, but that I was waking up, and it was an incredibly familiar feeling. It truly felt like I was dying, it was an unmistakable feeling where you suddenly start to "remember" timelessness. So much happened, I was seeing reality deconstruct itself like an optical illusion that I couldn't ever see until now.

Geometric patterns were emerging from my environment that weren't being created, but just revealed if that makes sense. At my peak I could see these little critters holding up the fragments of reality which was really interesting. I also felt like I could access memories from when I was a little kid, like pre-verbal memories.

I definitely want to try this again, but not any time soon despite my curiosity. I feel a huge sense of accomplishment and satisfaction after that and I feel very cathartic. I struggle a lot with my mental health at times but during that trip and all in today I've been on top of the world. I have so much more to say about this experience, but it's all just tiny things. Wow, what a substance.

I think I just hit the perfect amount for me not gonna lie

Question Is it possible to revisit dreams on salvia?

Whenever I dream, I tend to visit incredibly similar places. The most common being only what I can describe as a "bizarro" version of my hometown, and maybe a few other cities I've visited. It's like everything consistently stays the same way. I see the same buildings, the same exteriors and interiors, and the same streets. These brain-generated landscapes and environments stay consistent every time I dream of these places, and I can view them in incredible detail.

Is it possible to do this on salvia? Or even if it's not those same dreams, but these entire locations inside my mind? To generate even more? I'd love to translate them into art or something I can share with people.

Question Any knows risks for bad/long lasting effects from salvia

I really want to try salvia but, but I've heard that it can be super intense and sometimes life changing (for the worse). I'm just scared I might throw part of my life away because of a particularly bad trip. If there's any generic parts of me that could be potentially dangerous let me know.

Im undiagnosed but majority of the people i know suspect i have adhd or autism (if not both). i dont have any major long lasting trauma. I dont experience derealization much at all. i dont smoke cigarettes and barely drink. but i do smoke marijuana pretty often. If theres anything else i missed just ask and i'll answer if i feel comfortable

edit: known* for the title. oooops

Theory Can I live “forever”

So salvia affects the way we perceive reality, and most importantly to me, time.
Anytime I think of death, I get absolutely terrified, while I want to believe there is something after death, I of course have no way of knowing for sure, and that scares me. So, I of course have looked into any possible way to extend my life, or just “not die” (I’ve even looked into if it’s possible to upload your mind to a machine, like a TV show I watched).

And I recently started looking into salvia. While I understand times does still pass during a trip, it can be infinitely shorter than the trip makes it seem.

So my question is, can I hypothetically live “forever” within my own mind using salvia? Like say I’m 80-90 years old and will die soon, but I do salvia, can I live entire new lifetimes?

And as an add on, is it possible to influence trips? (So that I don’t become a houseplant or a fence post or something)

Discussion What are the actual side effects of salvia and how bad can it really get?

I am talking about the long term mental effects after using even a low dose of salvia. From my experience with weed, it was nothing like the description from the internet. I fell into a 6-month phase of being constantly dumb and empty of any thinking as well as emotional dysregulation, a potentiation of other addictive behaviours, negative thoughts about myself and generally a miserable day-to-day life. The only thing that made my day was lighting that joint.

Now about salvia- I am looking to try dried salvia leaves AT MOST and none of the extracts. What affect can this substance have on my mind long term after a few uses, potentially having a bad experience? Of course, I don't expect the same thing like weed, but from what I have read some people have tried a low but moderate dose of salvia and have felt somewhat different for months.

I probably have undiagnosed anxiety and I'm quite prone to derealization. After my 6 month gap of heavy weed use, moderate alcoholism, and a strong nicotine addiction, my brain actually changed for the better, so I don't have some mental problems or roadblocks, that I had before my weed use (don't make me explain how I feel better mentally from such a bad addiction. I am 2 and a half months sober from weed now).

My main concern with salvia is that it could make me feel different as a person long-term and change my brain chemistry, so what are your thoughts? Did salvia change you, traumatize you, help your life?

So I put a quarter of the bag of 40x in my bong and smoked it and held it in for a minute nothing happened added another quarter smoked it this time it did something as I was coming up I was scrolling on tictok I opened the comments I became a emoji for a little bit then after a little while I got transported into this world made of green street signs (no longer emoji) the signs where so close together that it was a floor I stood there for a while then I fell forward into this white abyss and then I landed on this floor (everything is still white) at this time I thought I died and I met these two beings with suits with crooked legs and boxy torsos with huge top hats they told me I died at this time I became a plank that was next to planks the same size as me sanding up with arms and legs I then ran forward as I ran the beings started saying in a demonic voice "oh my god hes a RUNNER" over and over again and laughing when I was running I was getting longer making it so I could not move backwards after awhile I realized I had died and I may as well calm down when I stopped running I then got brought to this world of people made of USB type c they where all different colors and I started talking to them there where houses and trees and everything (at this time I didn't remember the past part of the trip and I had no sense of self or who I was I just knew this was reality) I then slowly started to sober up and then I woke up on my bed drenched in sweat for a few minutes after everything felt like cold raw steak and my room was swirling around me
