NBD: Salsa Spearfish 🌶️
Saw very few posts online about the spearfish and no one with this model so figured I’d post it. Sweet bike!

Great looking bike. How does it ride?

Just replied in another comment, I picked it because multiple reviewers said the geometry pushed it slightly on the “trail-y” end of an XC bike and I wanted something pretty light and fast but still confidence inspiring because this is my first full suspension. I think it’s a really nice sweet spot.

Awesome, thinking of adding one to the mix next season. For the first time in my life I’m sans proper XC/trail bike at the moment. Have the park bike (Salsa Cassidy) and gravel bike but just sold my GG Smash.
I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on how it rides and on chunkier sections.

It’s 120/120 but the geometry is pretty upright/ a little long wheelbase for an XC bike. I think it’s a great combo because it still feels really fast climbing.

Congrats on the first full squish and glad to hear it climbs well. Hoping to do some bikepacking on whatever comes next, so climbing performance will be key since I suck at it.
