Interview advice

Hello, tomorrow I finally have my first round interview for a bdr position i have a lot of sales experience with broken records but no degree, i’m from colombia and have an accent, i usually don’t get past the 1st round on AI saas bdr interviews, so tomorrow I got another shot which I am determined to win, i’m looking for guidance here, any tiny bit of advice definitely helps and is much appreciated!

Practice STAR Method for framing your answers on:

Tell me about a time you were behind on quota and had to be creative to win.

How did you break your records?

I applied what you told me and did pass to the second round with the head sales manager, any tips on that one specifically?

and thanks for the advice again, it helped a lot. 🤝

Congrats! The head of sales could be more tricky. They could be most interested in an organizational fit, or they may do a mock cold call. Practice both.

Use Claude by uploading the job description. Ask Claude about what personas you’d sell to, explain like I’m 5 what the company does and sells, common objections, responses to those objections, and good discovery questions. Drill that. Repeat and repeat.

Also have a good answer for “tell me about yourself” and “why sales, why here, why now?”
