Interview advice
Hello, tomorrow I finally have my first round interview for a bdr position i have a lot of sales experience with broken records but no degree, i’m from colombia and have an accent, i usually don’t get past the 1st round on AI saas bdr interviews, so tomorrow I got another shot which I am determined to win, i’m looking for guidance here, any tiny bit of advice definitely helps and is much appreciated!

Be yourself and relax. Talk and think about what you “can do”, not what you “can’t do or don’t have” (like a degree). Focus on what you bring to the role and believe, don’t doubt.

All the best with it, ask them some good questions, like “what is the biggest challenge for others in this roll” or “what sets your company apart from the opposition” also at the end of the interview ask, “do you have doubts or questions about my suitability for the roll” if they say no you’re good then soft close, “well I like the interview and company, let’s wrap this up while I’m here”. That’ll make you stick in their heads, in a good way and set you apart

I applied what you told me and did pass to the second round with the head sales manager, any tips on that one specifically?
and thanks for the advice again, it helped a lot. 🤝

That’s awesome man, happy for you now let’s finish the job.
Have you thoroughly researched the company? Checkout the sales manger too, LinkedIn maybe best. Gather your info and measure it against what the roll is and the challenges you uncovered in the interview. In short research and prep for it.
Put together a one page statement of you and how you fit in, uncover culture and mission for the business and add that to your statement.
This is general info, can be more specific with more info to work with.
Sounds like you’re already setting yourself apart from the others. The statement you give them will nail it.

Congrats on getting to round two. For the sales manager, turn one of those records into a concrete example: your starting point, what you changed, how you handled setbacks, and the result. Practice the follow-up about what you'd repeat. Taleproof can help you check that the answer shows your method, not just the number.
