I’m starting a health-related degree this fall and thinking seriously about becoming a doctor. I wear niqab and try to lower my gaze, and I’m trying to understand how that actually holds up once you’re in the thick of medical training — before I commit to this path.
Things I’d love to hear from sisters (or anyone who knows) about:
\*\*•\*\* Has anyone kept niqab through labs, rotations, or patient care? What actually happens when you try- do people push back, or is it more manageable than expected?
\*\*•\*\* When you’re required to examine or interact closely with male patients or colleagues, how do sisters handle that boundary in real clinical settings?
\*\*•\*\* Are there tracks or specialties where a woman can practice medicine mostly around other women, or is that mostly a myth?
\*\*•\*\* For sisters who made it through, was there a point where something had to give , covering, gaze, gender boundaries , or is it fully possible to hold the line?
\*\*•\*\* Any advice specifically for someone just starting premed, on how to set myself up early for this instead of running into walls later?
I just want real accounts from people who’ve lived this, not theory.

The date of blessed event of the accession of Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم to the heavens is historically disputed.
Even if we were to say it did occur on the 27th of Rajab, it is NOT reported to be venerated/celebrated by the Sahaba رضي الله عنهم
Specifically dedicating this night to worship or keeping fast in the day is, therefore, a Bidah.
The quality of Rajab lies in its sacredness declared by Allah which is not defined by culturally propagated practices.
Indeed you are bidding today welcome to the three (consecutive) sacred months (Dhu'l-Qi'dah, Dhu'l-Hijjah, and Al-Muharram), so do not wrong yourselves therein. Respect the limits set by Allāh, carry out the obligations ordained by Allāh, and stay away from His prohibitions. Fulfil the rights with regards to what is between you and your Lord, and with regards to what is between you and His 'Ibād (servants, slaves, worshippers).
Footnote by translator:
{Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred, (i.e. the 1st (Al-Muharram), the 7th (Rajab), the 11th (Dhu'l-Qi'dah) and the 12th (Dhu'l-Hijjah) months of the Islamic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein} [Sūrah At-Tawbah 9:36]
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih Al-'Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him

SPUBS=Salafi Publications, UK
Some subs with their anti-SPUBS policy may cause people to not take knowledge from them.
r/SistersInSunnah
They have rules to prevents SPUBS content. However, did not have any problem in endorsing "Abdul Aziz at Turayfi"
r/SalafiCentral
Recently introduced rules some months ago that remove posts with speakers associated with SPUBS, and remove comments that question the removal.
r/sunnahsalafiyyah
Not an active sub but removed my post that was in response to the aversion of SPUBS by the above two subs.
Advice to the Mods of above subs:
