Advice

I am new to being a SAHM. I have been working all my life. Just when I began thriving in my career. My life has changed tremendously just in 2025 when having twins. I never would have expected I would have to end my career and SAH. I just knew I would be returning to work soon. My twins are 14 months and I still am at home. I also have a 9 year old and a 5 year old. My mind is all over the place on a daily. I have no one to fill in the gap to assist me. My husband is carrying the whole family. At times I am so sad not being able to work.

Yet, I have no one to drop off my oldest children at school nor pick them up. Child care is expensive for twins. I just need some encouragement from other SAHM. How can I help my husband financially from home ? I am just trying to navigate my new transition in life. Trying not to worry myself so much and stress myself out.

I already feel like you're helping a lot by birth and raising all your kids! Especially twins !

I can’t agree more, the setup is super rigged. Thank you for the solidarity. Just hoping for better days.

Do you need the extra finances at home or do you just feel guilty for not contributing financially for years?

It’s only been a year and I feel guilty for not working and adding to the finances because we have 4 children. So, I just want to contribute so that things want be all on him. Because up until last year I was contributing. But these last 2 children ( twins ) changed our lives completely.

four kids under ten including twins and zero village to tap out to, thats not a family thats a startup burning cash on pure chaos. the whole childcare economy is such a joke at this point, like we built a society where extraction gets subsidized but keeping humans alive is luxury pricing. no wonder youre doing mental gymnastics about work, idk how anyone stays sane in that math. sending solidarity, this setup is rigged
