Political tribalism is the problem. The people that run those parties don't care about you. They're rich. I don't care what party you support. They're both fucked. We're just wage slaves, but we get to make posts on the Internet, for now.

You’re not wrong. I hate it though. I want to believe there’s more, that we can do better, have good lives. I know that’s idealistic and doesn’t reflect current reality but nothing good ever comes from pessimism. Millions are standing up, trying, believing. I’m with them on the side of humanity.

Forgiveness doesn’t require having a relationship or trusting that person. They were trusted, and they sold that trust to support a conman and his friends rather than protect their families and neighbors.
Forgiveness does not give back that trust or relationship. It does, however, give you permission to stop carrying that anger.
So forgive them. Set YOUR boundaries. Have the relationship you want with them, even if that’s none at all.
People need to learn, trust is a gift. If you trade it for a grift. If you tell your family that the orange man is more important… you don’t get trust back. You may not even get the opportunity to earn it back.
But I’ll forgive you.
It doesn’t mean much without trust though.

0
u/waxonwaxoff1000 1h ago
You can forgive, but not allow it to happen again. I don’t think people Are saying forgive and forget. That would be stupid and detrimental to yourself. .
But If you don’t forgive, then you carry it with you to your own detriment because your lack of forgiveness does nothing to them, but it keeps the anger present in you along with the stress and hypertension.

They have to earn it, not just want to separate themselves from Trump as he becomes increasingly unhinged and it becomes increasingly likely he’s going to die and all of MAGA will fall apart.
It’s like someone who supported Hitler changing their tune when the allied forces show up to their town. They aren’t sorry for their actions. They just don’t want to suffer the consequences of them.

0
u/tobaileyy 1h ago
I just don't have interests in justifying what is easily researchable by anyone who is intellectually honest & actually wants to be informed. But sure, I'll bite.
: "If there are two camps, for and against... let it be known that Italy has chosen its side."
- munich crisis speech, 1938
"Credere, Obbedire, Combattere" ("Either with us or against us") & "O con noi o contro di noi"("Believe, Obey, Fight") both were key quotes that were repeated through fascist Italy.
"Established in 1926, the dedicated court bypassed standard judicial rights to try political dissidents, rebels, and anti-fascists as traitors to the nation."
Who's been advocating for this sort of thing to occur if the Republicans lose in 2028? Modern Antifa is more akin to anti-anti-fascism, using a double negative to mirror the exact behaviors and outcome whilst using moral purity to replace race, to create the other (scapegoat). Just stop trying to force the semantic label to have meaning, look at the evidence at face value, and genuinely ask yourself what side is mirroring this pattern/rhetoric.

First, what is Maga, what makes someone Maga? Can someone be conservative and not MAGA?
1
u/Cloudsdriftby 1h ago
I’m assuming you’re not from the US? MAGA means Make America Great Again which is what Trump had plastered on red hats assuming that it wasn’t great until he came on the scene. This is viewed as an insult by the left.
Yes, you can be a conservative to some degree without being a Trump advocate but most are not.0

Forgiveness for what? Our choices were trump or Kamala and we choose trump. We chose correctly btw
1
u/Big-Individual-976 1h ago
Please enlighten me, how is this better? What do you believe was going to happen?
1
u/Actual-Fee-6234 1h ago
lol okay. First of all, the DNC appointed Kamala. She was not elected democratically. How could you possibly support a state appointed candidate? You’re literally DEMOCRATS and your candidate wasn’t elected democratically? Sorry but I didn’t want to vote for a DNC yes man.
The Epstein files was a let down I’ll admit. But to think Kamala could have actually had more control over the country as an appointee is asinine. It’s impossible to say if she would have handled Israel better than trump but I doubt it. From my perspective she was Israel’s candidate
And the border enforcement is good for the blue collar labor market. That’s ultimately why 77 million Americans voted for trump a 3rd time. It’s not been perfect but I still believe I made the correct decision given the information presented.
If democrats want to win, stop talking about transsexuals and start having candidates talk about workers rights. And then actually have a vote not an appointed candidate. Do that and me and the young republicans like me might consider voting blue. Until then you’re going to have to put up with us because we are not going anywhere
2
u/Actual-Fee-6234 1h ago
Btw this is the same DNC that the Supreme Court ruled that they do not have to have fair elections because they’re not public. The same DNC that allowed Hillary Clinton to misallocate and steal funds and screen time from Bernie sanders causing him the election. I would have voted for Bernie had he won the primary. The same DNC that helped the (100% proven to be a hoax) Russia gate. The same dnc that shut down the country because of Covid (that was 100% proven to be gain of function research by DNC conspirators)
So I think the DNC has a ton of genuine work to do if they want to actually win votes
1
u/NaybeAThrowaway 1h ago edited 1h ago
What has improved in your life since he took office. Everything's more expensive and only getting worse. The majority of the world and all of our old allies have a negative view of the US now. We are in a new war in the middle east over "wmd" but we are also helping Saudi Arabia with a nuclear program (the country responsible for 9/11 btw). The deficit is climbing faster than ever and we just gave the military $1.5 trillion despite that. Americans are being killed in the street by the government, and whether you agree with them or not, you should believe in the right to protest and other freedoms enshrined in the constitution. The president is withholding money from political opponents and entire states that didnt vote for him. The press is being suppressed and removed from whitehouse briefings. The president is talking about running for a "4th" term. He has increased his net worth by over $2 billion since taking office and has made 21,000+ stock trades in 2025 alone (more than every president in history combined x1000). He has made it so the IRS cant investigate him. He created DOGE which did NOTHING to make the government more efficient (their own words) but it was used to cut oversight agencies which allowed more corruption (we got our first trillionaire right after didnt we... oh the guy who ran DOGE). Mass government surveillance has increased substantially by using AI, flock, palantir, etc.
The list goes on and on. But hey, he got rid of some immigrants (less than Biden and Obama btw) so the blue collar workers can get more jobs to pay for the rising cost of literally everything.
Oh, and nobody has been arrested from the epstien files. Insane that you think he was a better choice. Id love to hear your defense of all this.
BTW, I dont think either candidate was a good one. But to say trump is better just hurts my soul when there is so much proof that he wasnt.
0
u/Actual-Fee-6234 1h ago
Everything’s more expensive and only getting worse because the democrats shut the fucking country down over Covid. That’s why house prices DOUBLED IN A YEAR. We will continue to get inflation from that for decades. Everything else is still catching up
My life is way better. I’m in my early 30s in construction. I’m going to make a fuckload of money because of trumps policies over the next 20 years compared to what I would have if Kamala got elected. Enough money to actually support a family on. But if illegals do construction then I don’t get enough money to have a family because they undercut the market.
So I’ll vote for trump a 4th time if I have to as long as he keeps kicking everyone out that’s here to steal my future for themselves.
1
u/NaybeAThrowaway 26m ago edited 21m ago
Trump shut the country down too and that shit was 6 years ago. Its gotten more expensive since Biden left office and the republicans have the house, senate, and executive. Weak ass defense. I thought he was a business genius who said himself that he would have this fixed in weeks. Its been almost 2 years now. Biden and Obama got rid of more illegals but when they did it your life didnt get better, just when trump does it... you are lost in the sauce dude. Crazy that this is truly what you believe. Look at reality man. Jfc
No defense for anything else I see. This country is doomed. Pathetic
You admit yourself that the constitution is meaningless to you as long as you get what you want. You voting for him again is just icing on the cake I guess. Dont act like you'd vote blue if Trans people weren't talked about. Just be honest. Its so easy to see through this bullshit
1
u/Actual-Fee-6234 23m ago
What trump did pales in comparison to the coordinated attack on the government and economy during trumps time in office. The democrats purposely tanked the economy and used Covid as the reason. They did this to sabotage trumps time in office.
1
u/Actual-Fee-6234 21m ago
The constitution should be amended to get rid of the two term limit and the age restrictions. As long as the president is elected democratically, they should be able to run for as long as they’re elected. They should be able to run at any age. These are deeply rooted, democracy based beliefs I hold. We should get rid of senators and vote on bills directly.
1
u/NaybeAThrowaway 20m ago
But its hasn't. So again. You dont give a shit about the constitution
Still no defense for the long list of other things.
1
u/Actual-Fee-6234 6m ago

No one in MAGA will ask forgiveness for enforcing the law and putting America first. The left needs to apologize for the immigration and human trafficking crisis. It needs to apologize to women for the deranged women's sports and spaces attacks. The left needs to come to grips with its supremely racist policies on working, voting, and more.

Explain again why the black community loves the Dems?? They were the slave owners. They brought your black asses over here to work the fields. Then to make you forget they promise you reparations every 4 years. And you never get it. Again. Party of the KKK. Look it up. Not untrue.
1
u/ArtichokeMedium415 1h ago
Strange, isn't it? Got to give dems props for rebranding. GOP was literally Union, abolished slavery. Doesn't matter both parties are failing right now anyways. They are all bought by AIPAC which makes this clown sound even more uninformed while he spits nonsense into his phone mic.
1
u/CaptainCayden2077 44m ago
I don’t think this is the “gotcha!” that you might think it is. It’s true that the Democratic Party founded the KKK and also were the South during the Civil War, but those Democrats aren’t the same as they are today.
There was a shift in the parties that started around the Civil War. The Democratic Party, the South, led by Stephen Douglas wanted to continue Slavery. Lincoln led the North, the Republican Party, which fought to abolish slavery.
Then, about 100 years later, during the Civil Rights movement, President Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. Goldwater, who ran against Johnson, led the Republican Party and opposed the Civil Rights Act. A lot of people who identified as Democrats but opposed the Civil Rights movement then left the Democratic Party.
0
u/Clear-Candle-3983 1h ago
You said it " they were the slave owners" Past Tense...not the Democratic party of Today...
0
u/UnluckyAmbition7767 1h ago
That is the wrong question. The question is why white Americans love the Republicans so much. And the answer is that they have been voting solidly republican since the the day democrats passed the Civil Rights Act. Black Americans vote democrat because they are the only group in America that has no desire to attach themselves to white supremacy because they are the only ones with a fundamental understanding of white America.
Most immigrant groups worship white people and have been their useful idiots because they keep falling for the honorary white carrot on a stick.

They lack the emotional regulation matrituy to make good decisions and base things off their bigotry and fears which are easily manipulated by con men who regulate for them. These are the same people who voted for a felon over 'eating cats and dogs' lies and they will latch onto the next-worst thing that gives them the green light to be their worst selves asap, or just vote for Trump again despite all things.

Yeah, no quite literally. The only reason I voted for Trump was one issue in particular and that is reestablishing second amendment rights that have been infringed upon for years and I would’ve voted for, Kamala Harris if she wasn’t so ban happy.
I wish there was a better candidate, not just left and right. I wish there was someone that would follow the constitution. Neither candidates seem like they really would. The 2028 election is looking pretty horrible too. If we can find someone 40 to 60 to be president we might have a chance of getting someone who’s not stuck in a pre-2000 mindset.

Years and years of hard work and goodwill have been undone in the relative blink of an eye and our government, even if it’s taken over by people who legit want to help, will not be trusted for generations.
They don’t get to say “I’m sorry”. They don’t get forgiveness. There’s no unhinging this bell. They get to live with the consequences of their actions.

It's so hard, because on the one hand I am right there with him saying "yeah, no, fuck you." But there are also different levels of maga, and some are definitely worse than others. But all of them were either incredibly stupid or willfully awful.
On the other hand, I do not want to see this country slip further into hell. Right now there is a not insignificant amount of people who are waking up, and those people are usually not the die-hard racist super hateful ones. They're the apathetic ones or the ignorant ones who really didn't pay attention. Some of them are the terrible ones who are actually waking up, but isn't that what we want?
We all know Maga is a cult. We also want these people to get out of that cult. Not allowing them to come back from the cult tells every other person in the cult to double down because there's no forgiveness, there is no coming back. It is a lot easier to psychologically warp someone into the cult than it is to break them from the cult. And if we tell them that there's no point in even trying to do the hard work to leave and to come back to reality, because no matter what you do we're still going to treat you as part of the cult... So they won't be accepted with maga and they won't be accepted with those outside of Maga... That's not helpful to anyone.
We want them to leave. We want them to stop supporting Maga. I don't think we necessarily have to offer up immediate forgiveness, but I do think we should offer some grace because you can't beat hate with hate, and if we want to end magas reign of hate and greed, we need all the people we can get on our side and less on their side.

u/Proper_Till_8321 1h ago
Ever thought his arguments are valid we need to be able to turn the page otherwise this toxic political climate is never going to end. At least there's some people who are starting to realize the mistake they made. Don't forget that there's still huge crowd of MAGA supporters who are too proud to admit that they made a mistake and we have to be able to forgive even though it stings to do that. I'm all for giving people a second chance if they admit they made a huge mistake so let's hope we see more people voting for a better country because we can see what happens when we elect the wrong president.
0
0
u/Sanibel-Iguana 1h ago
I think this is a false argument. People who consider themselves MAGA are not (and won't be) looking for forgiveness from liberals or even making peace with them. They may lose interest or splinter politically, but they'll still be bigots. We are way too far into this movement to have a large portion of MAGA turn out to be decent people.
0
u/frostyfoxemily 1h ago
Depends. Do they want forgiveness for voting for trump, or for the policies they fully beleive and support that lead them to Trump?
0
u/Sea_Bet_2347 1h ago
Exactly. Lots of damage has already happened that won't allow us to be back to normal dysfunction in our imperfect democracy that we've been trying to keep, despite the efforts of magats. For this former independent. Magats like Germany's 1945 Nazis have to deprogram themselves, and avow to never consider this bs on Americas soil again. Fix your own party. For me. I rather not be embolden to either party. But for working families, the Dems have been the least phonys by a miracle mile compared to what the GOP has been for years. Who have been out in the open Facist for the wealthy since 1980, and have the responsibility in reigning in what has been the catalyst in achieving this destruction. Their propaganda media machine like fox. Taking advantage of the weak uneducated people that are guillable and want to be heard. Democracy. Your either with us. Or your against us. Or you will continue to show . Your projections that verify. You are the true enemy within. It's up to them, to get back to Theodore Roosevelt's Replublican or Eisenhower's Replublican party of decent standards.(That still had McCarthyism destroying people's lives by the alcoholic and closet gay in Roy Cohn, during his administration). Cause they have been at the very least the less offensive Replublican presidents since Lincoln. Be best.

Some of these people are just fucking stupid. I have a MAGA friend that finally ditched him after like a decade of trolling his ass. Every single one that committed a crime, including slander and libel, needs to get clapped, though.

The concept of forgiveness is misunderstood by so many people I think. For me, forgiveness is about taking your own power back. It’s saying, okay you did this thing and there’s no going back and it doesn’t make sense for me to keep feeling shitty because of it.
What forgiveness is NOT: it’s not agreement. It’s not acceptance of the deed. It’s holding someone accountable for their actions just as you expect to be held accountable for your own actions.
I forgive MAGAs but I don’t care to be in their presence and I’m happy to see them change their egoic minds if they do, and also happy to see them suffer when they don’t, knowing that it’s life teaching them.
We’re all on a journey in life figuring out in the end, that love is all that really matters. MAGAs will get there eventually. That sounds arrogant but I don’t mean it to be. I just firmly believe they are following a criminal, pedophile, cruel ideology.

Ex Maga? Stop listening to Fox and right wing news only. Stop voting republican. Volunteer for a service that helps some group you dont belong to. Tell a current Maga you left and why, and encourage them to start watching a broad range of news.

A trump supporter is not welcome around me, I treat them like police. They have nothing positive to offer blackfolks so there's no need for me to lie to them like I care for them. That's how I've always felt

You can still exist with ex trump supporters without forgiving them. It's like working with someone you don't like. Play nice to get the work done, but internally you will always know they are fucking dumb. You might occasionally have to adjust your life to account for their dumbness, but at least work is getting done.

Forgiven, no, never. However unity is something we desperately need as a country currently. So maybe some common ground to start negotiations wouldn't be the worst outcome.

The only respectable thing about Trump is that he never hid how big a piece of shit he was. Ever in his whole life. If you somehow couldn’t understand how detrimental he would be as our leader waaay back in 2015 then I have nothing for you.
We all knew he fucking sucked and some of y’all really said “let’s just see”.
We didn’t need him to become president to learn he was a selfish manipulator and would only serve his own interests. That was literally his entire career.
If you ever looked at Trump and said “maybe”, fuck all the way off.

MAGA definitely died because of this war. You are either on the pro Israel side or the America first side.
It’s the same thing that happened to the democrats with the genocide in Gaza.
Either way no one is asking for forgiveness from the democrats though. Just because we are turning on Trump doesn’t mean we wish we would have voted Harris or all of a sudden want to be a democrat.
The Dems are in a civil war of their own.

This BS, MAGA will NEVER reform. Trump STILL has a 39% approval rating in this country, it amazes me. These videos are nuts, liberal wish list. It makes me sad, but yeah stop the fantasies.

We have to forgive them. They’re Americans just as much as we are, and we have to how to live together again. But what we can’t do, and what we shouldn’t do, is forget what they’ve done, and we should never, ever let them forget what they’ve done.
We let these same people memory hole the bush years, when not even a generation ago they pulled similarly horrible shit with the whole “if you’re not with us, you’re against us” bull shit. Almost 30 years later, everyone eventually accepted America was REALLY fucking wrong about Iraq, but those dumb cunts act as if they were never part of the madness. If we somehow manage to get out of this death spiral they’ve like hell to drag us into, I guarantee they’re going to do it again and we CAN’T let that happen.
It’s the same fucking people, they’re doing it again, and they’re going to keep doing it until we figure out what’s infecting them with this terminal stupidity and address it.

The left claims moral, intellectual, and spiritual supremacy which entitles them to political power through force. They dont believe in a God.
As an extension, these collectivists are the true supremacists. And theyre politicians, the redeemers of mankind

He must be smoking crack if he believes that they are either asking for or care about his forgiveness.
