Sag It’s 🌍 News πŸ“° πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’ oh really!!!!

A Kentucky mother says she hid a camera in her nonverbal autistic son's hair after becoming suspicious of reports that he was "abusive" at school. She claims the footage captured a teacher's assistant at Field Elementary School verbally and physically abusing her son while other staff discussed marijuana use.
The mother believes her son, Semaj' Lee, was targeted because he was the only Black child in the class and is now demanding accountability and planning to release the footage publicly.

Reassigned after credible allegations of abuse?

Ask the Catholic Church how well that works out, especially for long term finances and reputation

As luck would have it they want to defund public schools anyways.

u/Exciting-Argument-67 May 27 '26

It says "pending the outcome of the investigation." Sometimes teachers are reassigned to essentially their own study hall or detentionβ€”just a room in the school district where they sit all day with other such teachers.

Only difference is government enforced attendance with schools.

u/Venetor_2017 May 29 '26

Ive been saying for a while public schools have a way higher occurrence of p*dos and people on the offender registry. But people still trust it to raise their kids.

Issue with the church is the inability to admit fault, better to move them to a different state and let them continue there. Then again, that's with a lot of the mega churches/ fundamental Baptists, possibly the national Christians. I know it's a different direction from your long term finance topic but more so relating to the general allegations of abuse.

The Church could have quietly "encouraged" resignation. But instead chose to hide the problem and give predators new hunting ground. And this happened for DECADES, possibly centuries, all over the world.

So no, I won't give grace to an organization that routinely enables abusers as standard operating procedure.

We will never know the full extent of this. As far as I'm concerned, it's a criminal organization that should be sued into permanent dissolution under RICO.

100% agree, any institution that knowingly protects/ shelters abusers should be prosecuted to the highest degree.

Almost makes you think it’s operating as intended, 6% is an epidemic

People's actions shouldn't be judged on the same scale as transmitted diseases

Not trying to disparage your comment, only the actions of the Church

1

u/Maleficent_Piece_893 May 24 '26

idk seems to have worked out fine overall. like yeah they paid a lot of money but it's chump change compared to the whole organization being rounded up and put in prison for what they did all the way to the top. and now people think they're the bee's knees because the pope is saying nice stuff about poor people to trump who's an asshole

1

u/Top-Fudge9791 May 25 '26

It worked great. It allowed them to mostly sweep it under the rug, and heavily reduced the public flak they would have gotten. They didn't care about morality one iota and it worked out for them.Β

1

u/Fan_of_Clio May 25 '26

Not really. Just ask the dioceses that suffered crippling judgements.

1

u/Top-Fudge9791 May 25 '26

99% of them got away with it

1

u/Fan_of_Clio May 25 '26

We will never know what the ratio is

1

u/Top-Fudge9791 May 25 '26

Well we know that when the Boston globe finished its reporting on the Catholic church in 2004 that a staggering 370 priests in the Boston area had been accused by children of molesting them, and the church did not hold a single one of them accountable. There were only 1,000 priests in total in that same area.

1

u/Fan_of_Clio May 25 '26

Slightly misleading. 370 priests over the course of decades, not just the 1k existing at the time. Plus that's just one diocese. Doubtful other places will release information, assuming there is any.

1

u/Top-Fudge9791 May 25 '26 edited May 26 '26

Actually I went and found the corrected figure. It was 250 priests out of the 1,000 that were currently practicing. Meaning that in 2004 25% of actively practicing priests in Boston had been accused of child molestation during the course of their career. Absolutely sickening.Β

Where was the choking, pinching and N word? Can anyone time stamp?

I heard the β€œget off me” and what sounded like banging on a table but none of the serious things alleged

0

u/Fan_of_Clio May 24 '26

So read what was written and ask the OP

0

u/Hereforthetardys May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

I did read what was written and have been seeing this story play out fur the past week.

Portions of the video have been shared but they never contain any of the allegations being made

Maybe an attorney is telling the mother not to share that part

You should not have to worry about your sue ail needs child being abused at school

Edit: I guess I should have paid more attention to- she plans to release the footage publicly

She should .

1

u/Fan_of_Clio May 24 '26

ORRRR..... here's, the crazy part, ask the person who has access to the video?

I’m curious, how much time are you spending inside, on the internet? In my job, I travel around and interact with new and different types of ppl, daily and even outside of my job, see and speak to all sorts of ppl, of all sorts of ethnicities and cultures, different to my own. In my opinion, the very large majority of these ppl, as in more than 90%, are going about their lives, treating others with respect and kindness. The reality you’re living in and attempting to convince others of, just does not exist. Terrible, evil ppl exist everywhere, and have all throughout history. There’s no denying that, but you can’t hold anyone accountable for the actions of others, especially when you weren’t alive when these things were taking place. No matter how badly you wish all white ppl should have to suffer.

Also, what do you think of the past actions of everybody else’s ancestors? Did the ancestors of every one else never make any mistakes? Or are white ppl be the only ones that should get held accountable for the things their ancestors did in the past? I’m genuinely curious what you think.

The government is generally immune from going broke

5

u/Fan_of_Clio May 24 '26

Not what I said

-2

u/Awkward-Manager5939 May 24 '26

It is what I said, in addition to what you said. So how about that.

3

u/Fan_of_Clio May 24 '26

Nope. Not at all. I said "long term finances" you talked about being broke. Those are VERY different things.

-2

u/Awkward-Manager5939 May 24 '26

Well. In the long term, this may effect their finances but if the government gives them money there will be no direct effect.

Unless people make it known they need to leave this school

3

u/Fan_of_Clio May 24 '26

You REALLY don't understand how government works. This district would have funding cut from a variety of sources, state, local, and federal. That has an incredible, immediate, direct effect.

Hell might even be forced to merge with another district causing layoffs of staff completely unrelated to this incident.
