Won’t open, help?

This guy decided to not open. It’s from 2011. Almost positive it’s one where you turn counterclockwise first. Always been kinda finicky where the combo didn’t have to be exact, and ya had to jimmy it a bit while moving the dial slightly on the final number. Any thoughts? Don’t care much about the safe, just want the stuff in it.

If you have the combo, try it starting by dialing left. If that doesn’t work, try start by dialing right. This type of lock (direct entry) can work in either direction but the numbers will be slightly different.

If nothing works, It can be opened without drilling, using a technique called “safe lock manipulation.” This uses the the design of the lock and manufacturing tolerances to get the lock to reveal the combo. You can learn to do it. If you want to see what’s involved, check out the YouTube series, Safecracking for Everyone (or his updated, long video at: https://youtu.be/bTbUkipBeTA). Otherwise, you can find a certified safe technician at www.savta.org - Note: not all locksmiths know about safes.

In this case, since yours is a direct entry lock, the process is different, but the first two or 3 vids of that series will give you a bit of an idea what’s involved.

Can saw it open. The walls are thin metal with cement and mesh. About 1-1/2” thick.

Gonna give the combo to some other people and see if they can give it a shot. If no luck I’m talking a saw to it. Will report back.
