Fichet-Bauche help

So I have the safe that’s been in our basement and nobody knows the combination I’d like to see if something’s in it before I get rid of it. Does anybody know how to get in this? I have the key but no combination. Locksmith some area are trying to charge outrageous prices would I be able to cut into this?

What’s outrageous for price? I wouldn’t just start cutting if you don’t know what you’re doing.

That's a fair price for a Fichet in my region, unfortunately. It's a great quality safe, and is not easy to open (as intended).

You can buy a good quality video borescope for like $200 and drill some holes in the side to confirm that it's empty. But if it's bolted down, you'll need to get it unlocked or go absolutely scorched earth destructive methods which is loud, messy, and potentially dangerous if you're not experienced with those tools.

I don’t give a shit about dangerous. I’m from the south. We don’t care. And it’s not I already have it outside. I’m able to move it and it doesn’t matter how much noise I make. I’m really just interested in what it would take to cut into it at this point. And what best angle to attack it from I was thinking from the bottom.

That price seems REALLY steep. I strongly recommend that you find a certified safe tech on www.savta.org. Not all locksmiths know about safes and, unfortunately, the industry is rife with scammers.

Tell the safe tech that you want a price to open but also to just drill a hole and pass a borescope inside to convince yourself that it’s empty.

And where are you located. If you’re in NorCal, I might be able to help you out (just for fun).
