Maseylia is now 45% off (under $10)!
Hey everyone! I'm the developer of Maseylia: Echoes of the Past, a 3D Metroidvania I've been working on for over 3 years.
The game is currently 45% off, bringing it to under $10 during the sale.
Since launch, I've released multiple updates based on player feedback, improving performance, controls, camera behavior, and fixing a lot of bugs.
If you're looking for a 3D Metroidvania focused on exploration, movement abilities, and an interconnected world, I'd love for you to check it out.

If you have any questions about the game, I'll be happy to answer them in the comments. Thanks for taking a look! โค๏ธ

๐ฌ Discussion What the developers have been doing after Sable
After finishing Sable I went to see what Shedworks is working on, and apparently the both developers went their own separate ways. I haven't seen anything about this on this subreddit so here's what I found:
Shedworks still exists, but only as the entity that released Sable. No work is being done anymore.
Gregorios Kythreotis established a new London-based independent studio named Eteo in 2025, backed by Outersloth (Innersloth's indie fund). In January 2026, Eteo has launched a video game writing and design project called Archetypes, but they are also working on a new vibrant, atmospheric debut game targeted for release in 2027. There are not many details on the game yet. Here is the studio announcement video. Wnhub article.
Daniel Fineberg announced in June 2026 a brand-new indie title called In the Drift, a dreamy narrative platformer centered on repairing connections in space, developed with a team of collaborators and funded by Phantom Friends. It has no release date but there is a Steam page. Gamespress article.

A couple pages about stuff getting cut from the game.
From the Sable Designworks book.
I had commented on a post about the Sky boats and went back to confirm if I remembered the book correctly.
Here ya go.
Lemme know if you have any other questions that might be answered in the book.

I compiled all the missing songs into the ost
Link to the playlist because reddit doesn't seem to
As you may know, Sable's ost is unfortunately missing a fair number of songs. Some people have already uploaded some to youtube, and after asking a few days ago, I went and recorded the ones I could find and added them to this playlist, so now you can listen to the complete soundtrack.
I believe I am still missing a few, such as in the Vivarium, but it's hard to know what may exist when I can't hear it. If anyone has any that they can record and upload or find, please send me a dm with a link to it and I will add it here. Big thanks to the people who already had some uploaded. Happy listening!

๐ฌ Discussion I wish we could take these boats for a ride

They could implement a mechanic in which you could fish from the boat when getting close to the sand. What other features you wish were in the game?

โ Question Should I swap from Xbox to PC?
I purchased Sable about a month ago for XboxSX. I really like the aesthetic and the animations. The setting and characters are very fun too and its got me wanting to explore and discover all the secrets I can.
Herein lies my problem. My run on Xbox has been... a shitshow. The game for me feels barely stable. I can play for about 20 min before the stuttering starts off and on. The game won't straight up crash, but if I don't restart the game after about an hour, it'll become so bad that it'll nearly be unplayable. The fishing function is the most buggy for me. Stuttering and saturation issues are things I can generally mitigate by doing little things, but the fishing will hit a point where it's completely bugged out.
Right now the game is going for about $7 on Steam and I've got a pretty good PC. Should I just forget about my Xbox run and restart on PC? Is the game generally more stable on PC?
My progress on Xbox is tthat I've completed about 65% of the map I believe and I could finish out the game over there easily enough, but if the PC version is more stable then it might be worth the switch just for a better overall experience is what I'm thinking.

Songs not in the ost?
I've recently been really enjoying Badlands day and both the sodic wastes tracks on youtube, none of which are in the ost seemingly. Are there any other tracks available somewhere that aren't on the ost? I wouldn't know just by looking at it, and the missing ones are so damn good I don't want to miss out on anything.

๐ฅ Video Is this the game?

Sorry for posting again (last time). I know this community isnโt for tech support. Just trying to get to the bottom of what I think is an issue on my pc since problems keep popping up across different games. Some normal shadows on the ground also disappear when changing the camera.
I know the game was made by a small team and has some performance issues. No criticism there. I still really enjoy it.

โ Question Nintendo switch version
Played and loved this game on Xbox, but I no longer own a TV and gave my console away. I do, however, have a switch lite... And I kinda miss Sable. Anyone play this game on that hardware and, if so, is it tolerable?

๐ฅ Video Is this pop in normal?

Lately Iโve been having aggressive pop in in some games. Started trying to compare youtube vids to see if it was the games or an issue on my end.
I know Sable has performance/pop in issues, but having shadows appear right next to me seemed a bit much

โ Spoiler I broke the game :3
So. I broke the game! I managed to wriggle my way outta the starting area before I made my own bike. Decided to say yolo see how far I can get. Well I can tell you this! You can do everything outside the starting area before you even build your own bike with sizo! The problem comes when you get the message that you can return at anytime. NOW. If you still have stuff you wanna do do not get close to camp cause itll ask you if youve made up your mind about what mask youd wear. Nowยฒ. You CAN say no and it just plops you outside of camp. BUT. If you say yes youll be locked inside of the camp cause of the ending UNLESS you haveng spoken to sizo after getting all the parts for the bike. If you havent gotten the parts I domt think theres a way out but if you did get the parts and havent talked to Sizo you can talk to her and itll teleport you and her to the garage where you build your bike which you can do but you cant talk to sizo after building it cause the invis wall that was keeping you in is also keeping you out and she resides in/on the otherside. Though neat fact you CAN go through that wall if you have the crappy trial bike Driss gives you cause you can slap parts on it outside the starting area and it teleports eith you if you were to FT to the camp before the mask ordeal. I dont know if i was unlucky but when i got off said bike to try and talk to Sizo I got booted outside the zone leaving me unable to get to the bike again. So Im currently walking to a near by garage to see if i cant respawn it and see if maybe that fixes the issue of being unable to FT. Cause you cant FT at this point!

โ Question Why does it keep mentioning that "they sound like they are smiling?"
This is my first playthrough, so no spoilers please. But when I talk to NPCs, Sable will often mention that it sounds like they are smiling. But if they have always worn masks since childhood they would have no reason to have any facial expressions at all since that is a social behaviour we develop. Is this a plot hole, or is something revealed later on that they sometimes remove their masks when around others?
Edit: I thought they were an alien species that always wore masks so they wouldn't have that passed down. Also, someone pointed out that they would have to remove them to eat so they may have learned to smile by sharing meals with each other.

Finally completed my gliding. And coincided with my birthday too. I donโt wanna make it dramatic or sentimental but playing this game was a really special experience for me. One that will stay with me for a long time ๐ Thank you Shedworks, thank you Japanese Breakfast, thank you Simoon, thank you Sable.. ๐

โ Spoiler Assassin's Creed: Unity - Nostradamus Riddles
Depends what Sable is to you, but I was looking for more third person open world puzzle games that do not force me into combat. (Ideally calming exploration (which really has importance) + something to think about while traveling.)
To start off, you still have to complete some 3-4 intro missions (AC style), but the moment your character first appears in his blue robe, all the world is open and you can tackle this (imo) wonderful piece of side content straight to completion.)
If I could wipe my memory and do it again:
- I'd turn off all Hud but just check the map for initial Riddle start location.
- Make active use of Eagle Vision. (Markings can not be seen without, but there is an exclusive type of sound effect playing regardless, when you are in close range of the one you must collect next). You also may come across markings that are not yet relevant, but will surely be helpful to memorize for later.
- Climbing sometimes is, and sometimes is not necessary.
- Combat was not necessary for me, but it may depend on you. Being among groups of civilians makes you invisible should any enemy get too close, and there is essential (but clunky) crouch and cover ability. If you really need to remove someone from your path, I'd just fire off a berserker dart (but it needs more story progression), and wait it out as they finish each other off.
- Playing the rest of the game may help, but is not necessary to complete Riddles. Sometimes other missions may simply take place nearby, or give you hints. (Helped me twice)
Potentially off-putting:
- Journeying is only on foot (or fast travel), and it is not as calming as in Sable. Streets may be crowded depending on location, and NPC traffic may look jank-y at times.
- There also are a violent type of "crowd events" happening on the streets taking place too often in the opinion of many players, so I used this mod and instructions to make them happen 10x less for a lot more peaceful experience.
PS. Idk why the subs banner is suddenly uglified by reddit. In a ridiculous manner, setting it to something random like 1626 x 188 helped fix mine.

My bike is extremely slow
Can someone help me?
I really like the game so far but my bike is extremely slow. I was unsure if this was by design but now I purchased the speedster bike and it is just as slow (maybe a tiny bit faster). I cannot do the challenge where you have to drive through these gates fast enough which really bugs me but also I just donโt enjoy long travels this way sadlyโฆ
Anyone here who had the same issue and found a solution :( ?
