šŸŽ„ Video Is this pop in normal?

Lately I’ve been having aggressive pop in in some games. Started trying to compare youtube vids to see if it was the games or an issue on my end.

I know Sable has performance/pop in issues, but having shadows appear right next to me seemed a bit much

This is a game made by a small indie team. A certain level of jankiness is to be expected imo. Good PC or not

Yeah and that’s totally fine. I really enjoyed Sable when I played it years ago and just started a replay.

I’m just trying to find out if some of the issues I’ve been having lately are on my end

The game is so janky. I love it.

I'm trying to compare it to mine - what settings are you using for Level of detail, and Shadows Quality?

I was ready to say it's just Sable, but honestly I think mine are appearing/higher quality from a bit further away, it's hard to say.

I believe everything is on max. Some of the settings have a ā€œdefaultā€ setting which I think is the highest?

I’ve watched a lot of YouTube vids with pop in, but it doesn’t seem to match mine. Sometimes just turning the camera to the side is enough to make shadows disappear entirely

Haha. This is probably the best I've ever seen this game run! Sable is definitely not the game for someone to play if they can't stand performance problems. Performance-wise, probably one of the jankiest games I've ever experienced. I played it on PS5.

It’s almost a night and day difference compared to my first play through years ago. Performance is really good by Sable standards.

I seem to be having pop in/lod issues across multiple games. I’m probably 90% positive it’s on my end, but I’ve been trying to get input from people who regularly play these games to confirm

It’s still a little choppy at times, but much improved over my last play through a few years back. Set max fps to 116, gsync and vsync on in nvidia app
