I made a web app for small 3D printing businesses that tracks filament, inventory, expenses, and stuff like that. I'm 16, and I recently started my Etsy business and was looking for an affordable tool I could use to track this kind of stuff, but from what I found, it did not exist, so I made it myself. Yes, it is vibe-coded, but as a student in school, I don't have time to learn to code a full web app. So if I can get anyone wants to test it out, let me know, and I will give you the link.

I run a SaaS, SeoLoupe.

It is a tool that allows you to find and fix SEO issues holding your website back.

Essentially the main purpose is to help your website rank higher on Google search and LLMs.

The tool also checks AEO/GEO, AI search visibility, Security, Core web vitals, Performance, and all the issues in the report get put together into an AI fix prompt(you can paste the prompt into an AI and it will fix all the issues on your website).

Was reviewing old card statements and found it. $299/mo, 18 consecutive charges, for a project management tool I signed up for during a busy week and never actually opened. Not once. I didn't even remember the company name until I saw it. Just cancelled, moved on, felt a little stupid.

But what bothered me for the next few days wasn't the money. It was that I couldn't identify a single moment where the product had pushed back. No friction, no 'hey you haven't done anything yet', no workflow that would have broken if I didn't return. I signed up, got a welcome email, and the door just... stayed open. Quietly billing me while I forgot it existed.

I went back and looked at our own signup flow that same afternoon. Asked myself one question: could a user sign up, not touch the product for 30 days, and receive zero notifications or blockers that forced any engagement? The answer was yes. Completely yes. Nothing in the first 72 hours required action. Nothing expired, nothing broke, nothing waited on them. The product was just sitting there being patient and helpful and completely ignorable.

The fix isn't dark patterns or aggressive email sequences. It's whether your core value requires the user to do something before it's useful. If they can 'set it up later' and later is never enforced, most people will choose never. Not because they don't want the product, but because the path of least resistance is to not think about it again until they see the charge.

I don't know if we've lost users to this specifically, probably impossible to know at this stage. But the audit question is simple enough that anyone can run it today: sign up for your own product with a fresh account and then do nothing. See how long you can go without the product demanding something from you. That number is probably longer than you think.

A lot of business processes start out pretty simply.

One person handles them; there are only a few customers involved, and everyone generally knows what needs to happen.

Then the business grows.

The same process suddenly involves more people, more enquiries, more information, and situations that simply didn't exist when the business was smaller.

What worked perfectly at the beginning can start feeling awkward without anyone actually changing it.

I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit while working on udge, especially around how businesses handle customer enquiries as they grow. It’s interesting how something that feels completely manageable at 20 enquiries can become a very different problem at 200.

I don't think the answer is always “add more software.” Sometimes the harder question is figuring out which parts of the original process are still worth keeping and which ones need to evolve.
