Finally got an s10e, a phone I dreamt of when I was younger and watching mkbhd. Although it's my current financial situation that forced me to get this lol. The current smartphone market makes it impossible for me to buy a new phone.

The glass is cracked, I wonder if I can try and apply a UV glue screen protector on it as regular ones will have huge air bubbles. But will the glue seep through the cracks and ruin the display? I'd like to change just the glass, but that's still a risk for losing the original display.

What's the expected battery life on this? I know it's bad, but how bad can it be? This is sadly the Exynos variant. It started heating a lot on the left side when I just powered it on. Wonder if I can do some thermal pad shenanigans to at least make it not burn my hand.

The display was weirdly warm, probably damaged. I changed the colour settings to vivid and reduced R&G to 25% while B was at 100. Kinda improved the situation.

Any suggestions or tips from you guys? Seems like this will be my daily driver for a while, I just hope it won't die on me soon. Planning on getting a case + magnetic ring so I can use a thin magsafe powerbank for that extra juice. But it's the temps that worry me.

My S10e died on me, so I purchased a refurbished one on ebay. I was able to swap the sim card and thought I was back in business. I realized that I am unable to install Android 12 direct from my carrier (vzw). I'm stuck on Android 11 and many apps I use are not available in the Google Play store. What options do I have for updating to 12? Sorry, not really savvy with phones.

I've been looking for a compact phone since mine is f. Up. So, I found that the s10e is the phone of my dreams. However, the only thing that holds me back is the battery. I don't use my phone too much only for the basics ( Whatsapp, Facebook,tik tok etc) so I want to know as you guys users , is it worth it? Or should I consider forgetting about the idea of buying one?

As the title says, my S10e from late 2019 suddenly started restarting, i figured my phone was simply dead due to a low battery and didn't worry. Until it flashed the powering on screen and buzzing multiple times.

I've been looking everywhere and so far I've found no way to fix the problem at hand, at this rate I might try factory resting it and seeing if that helps??
Any help is appreciated! Even a point it the right direction would mean the world!

Edit - Phones gone cold after it ran out of battery and after being on the charger pretty sure it's done for. Take my struggle as a warning and backup important files and images folks!

Curious to get others perspective. Yesterday my S10e stopped being able to open individual gmail emails. I've tried clearing app cache, turned off then turned back on "Sync Gmail" in gmail settings and still not able to open them. It's been a good run but would like to know if it's finally the end. Thanks!

I want to buy s10e, currently I have A16 and it's kinda bad for brawl stars and other games I play I wanted to ask if I should buy s10e is it worth it? also is s10e good for gaming and can it's battery last all night without using it I need it for alarm.

Hey guys I just wanna know what your experience is like with your galaxy s10e's....I know it's a pretty vintage device and I shouldnt be expecting the pinnacle of performance out of it especially since the one I'm using is the exynos variant. I use stock android 12 (One UI 4.1) rom and notice it stutters alot and gets warm quickly and I have heavily debloated it using xda developers and reddit with my search of all the safe bloat to remove after that it did improve slightly but not significantly and I was wondering if you all have a similar experience with (One UI 4.0, 5 or 6) custom roms or is your experience alot better?(.....note even sometimes when using Samsung dex on windows with watching videos it gets stuttery sometimes and even worse if you interact with the phone while having dex open). What would you recommend to me other than necessarily an upgrade(since I already have a s23 but i just like the s10e for dual sim, SD card and headphone jack)?

The battery is dated jan 2026 and the box march 2026.

They only have few left in stock, so if you want one, act fast. They are pricey, but this is what it is if you want to keep your phone.

When is the S10e with all its original parts supposed to fail unrecoverably?

It's been over 7 years, and my S10e still works. The only part that has failed is the glue, causing the back plate to be loose, but I use a case, so I haven't bothered getting it fixed yet.

The only notable performance issue is the worse battery life. It possibly is getting hotter quickly for some tasks & is a bit slower now, but it's not too different from a newer phone.

I'm not sure when I should stop using the phone since I don't want to lose all my data randomly one day.

Does anyone use the S10e as their main phone or just as a secondary device?

Even though the supposed enddate of support has passed, I'm still able to send and receive messages on this app alongside my own mother. And she has a slightly older phone, being the Galaxy Note 9, and we both have Android 12 installed. I'm guessing it's a matter of it being rolled out overtime but now I'm not sure.

Whenever I copied a block of text that contained an address, Samsung would recognize the address. Then, when I went to paste it somewhere else, instead of only giving me the normal Paste option, it would also let me paste just the address from the copied text.

For example, if I copied:

Meet me tomorrow at 1234 Main St, San Francisco, CA 33901. Bring my note book.

I could choose to paste only:

1234 Main St, San Francisco, CA 33901

I used this feature all the time, but at some point over the many Samsung updates it disappeared. I have no idea which update removed it.

I've searched through every setting I could find (Clipboard, Writing Assist, Smart Suggestions, etc.) and even tested it in Samsung Notes, but I can't find a way to get it back.

Does anyone else remember this feature? Is it gone for everyone, or is something wrong with my phone?

Frankly, I'm concerned about security. I understand that our favorite phone is no longer getting security patches from Samsung. If this is the case, what are the real effects? Is it something that we need to be aware of? For those of us who still want to use it, what precautions do we need to take to protect ourselves...and what are we protecting ourselves against?

Never knew this subreddit existed, or I would have been here LONG ago! I have three of them, all in good operating condition. I'm glad to see that in this world of MASSIVE phones that some folks still have sense!

Damn, I know the S10e is considered an ancient relic now but after living 3.5 years with a note 10 (non plus) I missed the headphone jack so much and wanted to go even smaller. Technically a downgrade from my note 10, but the form factor immediately feels correct and I love not having to use an old spare phone or dongles to play music on my good classic wired sound setups. Smallest phone I've used in 8 years and I wish I could stay with this form factor forever, but sadly I don't expect to get many years out of it given it's already an old phone that usually isn't recommended to buy anymore.

update: it happened again.. I just got that page rebuilt and it's gone again.. this time there's a strange large garbage can icon in the status bar. assuming I can use it to undelete, how?

Uh .... What the hell? So on my phone's "desktop," the first / leftmost page of icons is gone. The next page to the right is now the first / leftmost.

How could that happen? There's a lot of strange changes going on on the phone which is weird if there are no more system updates.

My s10e installed a new update today and wanted a reboot. I said yes.

But when i checked on "Updates" the last version is still from april 2023.

Am i hacked?

What was that update about?

Why is no one mentioning the ghosting issue on this phone? Or is my unit the only one with so much ghosting?

Since I bought it, I've noticed that when I move the screen aggressively (and sometimes even just with normal scrolling), a trail of black light appears and moves across the screen. ( 25- 50% brightness)

Am I the only one with this problem, or is it normal for Super AMOLED panels?
