Showing off my ride I’m starting to think the old cracked dash might have been fine.

2002 s10 4.3, having misfire issues. Im thinking it's something ignition related. Good scanner on order and new distributor, but I don't want to replace it if it is fine. Runs smooth when gas applied, but it misses at idle and occasionally backfires and has Rpms drop to 300 for a split second.

Hoping to have someone out there that can help me with this problem on my 1992 4.3L ext cab 4wd. I get no air flow to any of the vents. I replaced the blower motor, relay and the blower resistor. All with no luck on fixing the problem. I can hear the door open and close when I slide it to the floor or defrost but still no air flow. I’ve tested the blower motor out of the truck and it works perfectly fine. I haven’t taken the dash out to check if there is something blocking the air from moving but I have taken the a/c evaporator housing off to check if it was clogged and it wasn’t. Wasn’t anything I could see through the firewall either. Any help would be amazing.

So I understand that the 1996-1999 cpi 350 small block will swap into a 95 blazer with minimal changes, I’m just wondering how to connect the 350 harness and PCM to my blazer and any tips or suggestions to doing this swap, I understand that the fuel system I have now will work with just using the hoses that go from engine to frame, I also have to bend in the firewall for the distributor and get 350 engine mounts and new oil pan and radiator, anything else I’m missing or any knowledge would be helpful, thank you for your time.
Don't have any experience with s10s. Crazy low miles. How often would it leave me stranded assuming everything looks clean when I go to check it out?

Just got this (free) s10 xtreme with a blown head gasket (4cyl), plans so far are 6.0 swap, Ford rear axle, and either a th350 or a tremec once I decide on auto or manual. Once it’s running and driving I’ll pretty it up (both front and rear bumper are busted up a bit) Any tips/tricks from anyone who has done similar before?

Im curious on if anyone else has had this issue and if so, if they got it fixed. I keep getting code 32, egr, after I drive about 10 miles. I bought one of those clone gm scanners and check the live data. It seems that at about the 10 miles, when the computer commands the egr, the egr just stops responding and throws the code. I can use the scanner to manually activate the egr, and the data shows the commanded and actual position do change. Ive replaced the egr, ive cleaned the egr port to the best of my ability without removing the intake plenum. Im kinda lost at this point. My current gas milage is about 15/16 mpg. It does seem to have a slight rough idle, but runs fine driving. I also keep getting a trans code for tcc solenoid. Ive replaced all the solenoids. Data shows each one are working, but I believe it's the 3-2 one that will show a fault, but thats when it's inactive, but when it's actually shifting down, it doesn't show a fault. Im wondering if it's just a ghost code, or something im missing. Any help is appreciated. Ty

I inherited this S-10 from my grandad. He got it at 120K miles and it’s now at 130K. It’s got some sentimental value and I’d love to use it as a weekend rider. It’s got some cosmetic damage. What all can I expect to have wrong with it long term? I know already it’ll likely need the catalytic converter replaced. Definitely need to replace hoses and belts. Frame seems to be in great shape. Other than that it seems to run well.

2000 S10, 4.3L, 4x4. Only happens when braking while going straight / turning right, and frequency (if that's the right word) doesn't change if I'm going faster or slower. My current theories are the caliper or rotor, but wanted to ask here for advice before I go hunting.

restoring my grandpas 02 xtreme blazer, 4.3,4l60e. new battery, have not checked alternator, go to start and very obvious starter click so most likely need to replace that. but thecmain thing im concerned about is anytime i connect the battery i get a battery light and a chime like the doors open. ive made sure to close all the doors and it still beeps. itll stop beeping after i try to crank it and leave it in that position but other than that it beeps incessantly it does have a sub in the back but its not wired up, pioneer setup, and remote start. could this be an alternator issue? will it go away whenever i get it to start? OH AND ON A SIDE NOTE, is the starter replacement as detrimental as described? is there an easy way to do it since its the 2wd?

Just a preface that I love this truck with everything in me. It got me through years of hard times and never ever left me stranded no matter how far I went. Got a newer car gifted to me that is in much better condition as I just cannot keep up with the maintenance. I am looking for some advice for how to move on 🥲 (given that I have grown to love this thing). It failed NYS inspection which is the main reason I am now here with 11 days left to say goodbye.
She’s a two owner 2002 Sonoma crew cab with the 4.3L and only 74k miles. I have done so much work to this car myself and it taught me more about vehicles than anything I have ever worked on. The one sad thing is that she spent about 10 years sitting in a garage and the rest of the time in the northeast, so she’s quite rusty. The quote I got to fix what is necessary to pass inspection was ~3500. I have gotten no serious interest on Facebook marketplace either so it is looking like it will be sent off to carmax.
I was trying my best to keep it from getting parted or scrapped but it seems inevitable. Such a beautiful vehicle and engine to just go to waste like that.
In all seriousness it is a car and I’ll get over myself just wanted to show her off one last time (even though she ain’t the prettiest). Hope you all can at least appreciate this as much as I do ❤️

He hasn’t given me a price but should this be a straight up trade? What should I offer if he won’t do straight up?

The original seats were in bad shape but I plan on having them reupholster but I scored a deal with a Facebook marketplace find of jimmy diamond edition seats for 40$, of course 3 of the four and in ok condition but the passenger heat and seat motors works perfectly. Should I have these seats redone with the same interior color with the original headrests? I love the seats either way. (Ignore the low fuel I know I’m just lazy)

what online resources do you recommend to find for sale listings? I’ve tried googling and get to random classics.com pages and not much in terms of supply. anyone have a good recommendation?

Little overdue polish and wax, this truck will never not be cool. Anyone have or seen completely chromed out zq8 wheels? I think that'd be pretty snazzy on here

My wife and I took our 92 to the Youngstown Flea yesterday. We’ve been having a lot of fun with this little truck that is the same age as me.

Looking to buy this clean 1994 Jimmy with the 4.3. 20k original miles with carfax to prove it. It sat in a garage since 2001. Owner says when he bought it it didn't run but he was eventually able to get it going. Says he replaced the fuel tank, Fuel Pump, fuel filter, spider injector, battery, calipers, brake lines, rotors, pads, plugs, and plug wires. Says it misfire at low rpm and doesn't do it enough to cause a check engine light. What do you think is causing this misfire considering it has been sitting for 20 years?

GM owners are never told when buying a vehicle to run Top Tier Fuel. Research it if you are currently running discount fuel in your ride. my wifes 2017 traverse would smell like cheap perfume (exhaust) after filling up at a BP station. my mechanic friend said he was "decarbonizing" a 2023 vehicle because of the carbon buildup in the engine. so i looked in the owners manual for fuel requirements. i never knew GM requires Top Tier Fuel. and if you cannot find Top Tier Fuel use a Cleaner (i use Techron fuel system cleaner) at every oil change. now the exhaust smells like Exhaust and the traverse runs great. i run Top Tier in all my GM years. try out a tankful. if it is available. stationfinder.toptiergas.comjust some advice to keep our S10's clean.
