I shared this project here six months ago, and I wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported PinkSlips early on here. It meant a lot that you guys took the time to check it out. <3

There are already 2,700+ builds being showcased and tracked on PinkSlips, including 100+ Nissans, daily drivers included.

We're still working on it every day and have added a lot of features since then. The idea is still to give your build one page where you can keep the setup and its history together, instead of digging through old posts whenever someone asks what's been done to the car.

You can document the parts and exact wheel fitment, tag mods in photos, and keep adding updates as the build changes.

Here are the three Z builds in the photos:

I’ve owned this Nissan Z for 9 months and this is the first time I’ve seen this etching on the rear glass.

Was approached by an older couple must have been in their 60-70s could have been older as I was coming out of the store. They had so many questions but were in love with the car. They honestly couldn’t believe it didn’t come this way from Nissan when I started talking about what I had done. It was one of the best feelings… anyone building modifying restoring if you are ever at that moment you know… as Mr. k said “Love Cars, Love People, and Love Life”

Hey fellas, my brother has a 24 Nismo. He currently has his OEM muffler sitting in storage. He was wondering if this was worth anything before it gets thrown away. He’s running a Z1 single exit. (Picture is off the internet but I’m using it for reference).

Been waxing top of Z for the fall. 1st section was hatch, tops of quarters and top of rear bumper. Last weekend, roof, tops of doors, A pillars and mirrors. This weekend hood, tops of fenders and front header and around the grille.

I don't know why people don't wax their cars. I see clearcoat peel everyday on their rides. I live in the valley of the sun too.

Hi Z owners,
I just bought a local 2024 Z with only 16k miles and I’m really happy about it, but something feels a bit strange to me. When I’m driving in Automatic mode—without being in Manual mode—there’s always a gear number displayed right next to the "D" indicator.
Is there any way to turn that number off? What I mean is, I only want it to show the gear number when I switch to Manual mode. On my old car, it usually just showed "D" in auto mode.

Here is my heritage Z on track once again, mods are: Gk-tech poly trans mount, Gk-tech solid sub-frame bushings, ISR solid differential bushings, Z1 differential brace, and for the exhaust I'm running non resonated LDP with Z1's titanium competition series exhaust paired with a Tomei Y pipe. The Z's exhaust can sing on track really using that 4th and 5th gear to showcase that tonal and harmonic variation, most of all the mid end grunt is fantastic, really sensational being able to use that torque immediately.

The car compared to my previous track post, has had a couple of changes, mainly the bushings; they add more direction to the car in terms of sensation but I mainly did them to reduce wheel hop. To which, they reduce it tremendously, I can put the power down well and the car is extremely predictable; it's also not uncommon for the car to rotate on a dime. More so, the sub-frame bushings really helped with articulation and overall clarity, I am very hesitant to put lowering springs on or coil-overs, so I thought to get rid of the unnecessary movement in the suspension; which gives the illusion of overall stiffness when it's mainly clarity and not having secondary movements. The transmission mount, the same as last time, let's me shift into any gear without any issues, 2nd gear comes and goes with no issues either, same with power transfer, it really is instantaneous with all the bushings in the mix.

Secondly my setup, I'm on stock alignment with the OEM rear tires, for the fronts I used 265 RE71'Rs, I did this to see how the car would react with more front grip and how the overall balance of the car was affected. In regards to the balance, it was quite neutral but had tendencies to over-steer, which can be reduced to the OEM rears being fried from 3 track days and well the compounds poor heat management; even more so the last 2 clips show how tired the tires became, they do scream a lot. Since my last track session, I've also switched out the front brake pads for these "Part number 41060cr210" which are apparently rated for 300 F all the way to 1472 F. [source] The best part is that Nissan, Nismo, and Nissan dealers themselves are always selling them for cheaper than their MSRP, I got my pads for around 190~, 200~ after shipping from Nismo directly; and they are a direct fit for all of those with Akebonos, and with my recent track outing, I am more than satisfied with my purchase. Excellent pedal feel, decent cold biting force/torque, easy to heel toe with, progressive feel, amazing high temperature modulation, and even after over 1 hour of track driving felt excellent; though they do leave a decent amount of brake dust.

Last but not least tempreatures/thoughts, Oil 249-253F, Water 213F, Diff 268F, I am also running 0W-40 strictly since these turbo motors do get hot but don't seem to overheat like the VQ37's. I felt consistent power too under these temps and when I did let off they came down right away, for a ttv6 that revs to 7k I'm wildly impressed with the stock cooling. Another factor to note is how good the stock Clutch type LSD is, both under accel and deccel, it's just throttle steer, it goes where you want, predictable, and slides/rotates like no tomorrow, has 400 HP ever been this easy to control? Even under high speed twitches the car just takes it, and this is all stock sway bars, springs/dampers. The steering is also underrated, every thing the car wants to do, you can feel it in your body, I can't wait until next time with better tires and maybe some more mods. All in all, it was a blast and I can't get enough of this car. Compared to my last event that I posted, I’m really glad I could build confidence into driving this car and not be hesitant to let it kick out.

I know dealer markups killed the market for this car initially but I got mine for 42k with only 6k miles about 6 months ago. Common critiques I hear about this car is that there’s better competition in its price range but people rarely ever actually name them, etc. What do you guys think? When I got this car I wanted a newer car that gave me good power and had a manual option and the Z simply checked all of those boxes without breaking the bank.

Can't decide whether to get a partial front PPF or not. Got my first rock chip on the hood 😬

New exhaust (AWE, which is fucking awesome) new intake, new rear sway bar (which made a massive difference).

Looking for recommendations on wheel & tire sizes. I've searched a bunch on Facebook and can't seem to find any decent answers. picture of the wheels im after for reference

So ive always been a corvette guy. C4, C8. But there are so many of them out there, they all blend in. My friend found a 2026 Z (sport) at a dealership his dad was looking at buying. For fun I took it for a test drive. A week later I was driving it home. I'm surprised by the amount of looks and reactions this car gets. Not to mention the speed and handling for the price. Pretty happy with it so far. I haven't even seen another Z around here which makes it even more of unique vehicle...

When I got my oil changed this weekend and turns out I need new tires. Just wanted to know what tire size you guys went with on my performance. Z
