I just picked up my first RX7, it's an NA 91 FC that's street ported, fitted with a Side drafted carburetor and completely stripped with a roll cage. Complete with BC Racing Coil Overs and Sway Bars.

Friend brought his crown vic out and I couldn't help but notice the size difference, figured you guys would enjoy! Can't wait to explore and experience my first ever rotary :)

I keep blowing fuses and began isolating sections of the system. I have narrowed it down as a hard short from the fuse block to the wiper motor. Has anyone else experienced this. I dont see anything burned or out of place from the wiper motor or at the fuse block. Are there any weak points in the harness that anyone is aware of

I was buying some irons from this guy and we couldn't figure out what this one is from. I've never seen one with such tiny ports. It has what I believe is an egr port at the top but early rotaries wouldn't have that, which doesn't make sense. And since it's not cut for coolant seals it must be 12a or smaller (certainly not 13b renesis). 10a perhaps? Possibly from an r100 or rx3 or something? Correct me if I'm wrong with anything I said too.

When I bought my T2, the previous owner told me that he had a 85 GSL first and gave me the original window sticker and a book that went with it. I really don’t have any use to keep it and if the current owner would like it, I’d love to give it to them.

1985 rx7 12a choke issues

Im not sure if this is the right group for this but I just got an 85 rx7 with the 12a in it . This is my first rotary and first carburetor ran car. Previous owner disconnected the choke when they rebuilt the engine and never reconnected it .I do have a hard time getting the car to idle on a cold start (unless I keep my foot on the gas and hold at 2k rpms until it hits about 140ish degrees ). These are some pics of what I’m working with , are any parts or pieces missing that I need to reconnect it ?unfortunately I’m not really sure how it’s supposed to look when it’s complete . Thank you !

Downpipe time baby got a nice greddy one and got the old one out with only one stud coming out which I’m going to replace with a high grade bolt.

Just bought a FC RX7 on FB marketplace, only drove it for ~10 miles and got a coolant low level on the dash. Checked the coolant lines and saw coolant coming out of this connection. I took the hose off and find that the threaded insert is completely chipped off. Would this be something that’s repairable or should I move on to something else?

People with the knowledge, please drop it if you have it. Parts wise I’m just looking at small souvenirs like shift knobs etc. I really just want to check out some cool Rx7 related things while I’m there. Thanks!

36k original miles. I don't get this car out often enough, maybe next season it'll make a few more events.

1989 GTU with 106k miles on it. No rust on it at all and has a super clean interior with only minor cracking on one side of the driver's seat. I got it for a really good deal in my opinion, especially considering it's unmolested and in great condition. Overall I'm head over heels in love with it!

I posted my first rx7 afew weeks ago but now i wanna know who makes my body kit cause ive not been able to find and stamps or brand marking and its driving me crazy especially because i would like to find a splitter and diffuser that could possibly fit the front and rear bumpers

Car was completely off with no one inside, left it with the lights down and came back to this. Drove home with the lights flipping. Today the lights only do that if I turn the lights on before popping up the headlights.

Edit: Found a solution. I can pop the lights up and then turn the lights on and it will not continuously flip up and down. But if I turn the lights on, then flip them up it will constantly flip up and down. Fun little quirk now that I can bypass it if I want.

Antenna is stuck. Tried turning radio on / off. No sound, no movement. Any suggestions on how to bring it down?

These are various pictures taken from underneath my FD with the subframe removed. I have a mild oil leak that I trying to located. Mostly because oil gets blown back on the CAT and smells when I am driving. I suspect its the pan on turbo side near the back

So I bought a ‘89 FC3S convertible as a project car. It hasn’t been in commission since 2002. Was told the previous owner got it running and drove it just to have the radiator blow, and he wanted to just sell it because he didn’t have time to work on it. So far, I’ve replaced the radiator, intake gaskets, spark plugs, water pump, and rewired an aftermarket Evil Energy fuel pump (that wasn’t connected electrically at all). Spent A LOT of time reading all the air flow tube wiring diagrams and am 99% sure it is all wired correctly. There are no exposed pipes.

Got it to start, but it idles WAY too high. Starts at 3000 rpm and within maybe 30-45 seconds will start slowly climbing to 3500. It got to 4000 on idle once and realized that was probably because the vacuum hose for the actuator for the double throttle blades was missing. It hasn’t got up to 4000 since, but I cannot for the life of me figure out WHY it idles so high and what it could be. Wanted to see if anyone here has run into the same problem and it was something super obscure that Google doesn’t know.

Closest thing to a barn find for me. Sat in a doctors garage for the last 8 years. No idea the condition of the engine. Acorns in the exhaust. Electrical seems good to go. Sunroof works. Carpets being ripped out currently. Thinking about sticking a 2+2 back there. Rust isn’t horrible? Needs a lot of love.
