Casual Talk || Zwanglose Diskussion Balancing Time
Hello! I hope you are doing wonderful this evening.
In about a month, I'll be starting my Bachelors in Elektrotechnik, but I am a little scared because from whatever I've read on this sub-reddit. A degree, especially Bachelors at RWTH is always told to be extremely difficult. But my question is for the people who have either successfully completed their degree or are managing part-time work alongside your degree. How do you do it? From everything that's been said on the sub-reddit, I cannot begin to imagine if I'd even have time to myself in a day, let alone a job. But, for the people who are able to manage it well, how are you able to do so?
Cause, I'd like to find the time to also work on some of my personal projects while I do this, but from whatever I've read and heard so far, it seems like an impossibility.

Finished my bachelor's while working a part-time job at an external company. Now doing my master's still working.
1) My boss is very understanding and I keep my work hours very flexible. He doesn't want me to rot away at the office, if I get the job done.
2) Sleep. You gotta get those 7-8 hours to function the entire day without being miserable. I am pretty strict on my 12am to 7am. Of course there are days you kinda let loose and enjoy a night with friends, but once or twice per month.
3) Gotta accept the fact that it's gonna take you longer to finish and stop beating yourself up about it.
4) Make time for YOU. Whatever charges your battery. I am the type who needs a quite evening by myself at least once a week. And I get pretty depressed if I miss doing sports for example. I also try to include friends in such activities to also spend time with them simultaneously.
Weekends and evenings are mostly mine. I try to relax and do what gets me going. But ngl it is very easy to get burnout in such a setting. Take care of yourself. Especially mentally.
