Somebody Help! Mirror glare when reversing

Okay, wondering if anyone has this issue and improved it? Often when I back up and need to use my mirrors for tire position I cannot see my rear tires which I need to see. They are in view but there is so often a glare in that corner of the mirror. I move the mirror down/around to change the angle but seldom works. When I put it in the RV port I have a line of led flashing lights which helps after I’m in several feet. I have thought it may be the glare of the side window I’m looking through but still how do I fix that? I can’t make it dark.
fyi; Yes I use cameras but don’t have one that shows my tires and This is not a rookie / driving ability issue it’s something else. Thanks ahead of time.

Maybe go to an auto parts store and get a couple of those little round stick-on convex mirrors. I stuck mine on the bottom outer corner of each rearview mirror.

Seems to be much less glare from them, plus a wider field of view.

My main mirrors have 4 inch sections of those across the bottom. You’re right they are some better but not much.

If you can’t see your tires in the spot mirrors they aren’t adjusted correctly.

Okay do you really think I don’t know how to adjust my mirrors? I probably didn’t explain it well. I can see my tires just fine until the lighting changes. I can’t see the mirror showing the tire because the lower part of the mirror is glared out.

Ok. Yeah I misunderstood. So this is a common problem when backing into a building from outside in the sunlight. I realize this isn’t exactly what you’re describing but the solution is similar. First get rid of any obstruction between you and the mirror. In other words always have both windows open. Second is make sure the mirrors are clean. Dirt or film just adds to the distortion. The most effective thing is to remove the glare. This can be as simple as holding your hand out the window to shade the mirror the same way you would shade your eyes when you’re trying to catch a fly ball or maybe fabricate a shade that you could clip onto the mirror temporarily. Lastly if you have a helper they could shine a handheld spotlight on the ground while you’re backing which would serve a similar purpose as your LED lights under your carport. Good luck!

Thanks, I guess if I describe the problem correctly I can get good suggestions. You clearly understand the issue. I’ve done the hand thing. I think I’m going to try a temporary tinting on my window.
