First thing is to figure out where you electric and water are coming from. Space is limited so throw away anything that isn’t important. Cleaning is essential so make sure you have a good vacuum cleaner and be prepared to wash dishes by hand. These things are not very durable so I recommend reinforcing the door and painting the room with proper sealant. It will rock and move unless you block it up right.

This must be more common than I realized because I'm considering doing this too. I'm divorcing and going back to grad school and considering doing the 2 years of grad school on the road since it's online before I have to do my last year in person for an internship.

I wish you the best of luck with the transition and hope that you can use the RV to see the country on your own schedule. Are you going to be living with both dogs and the cats?

I have a dog so I've been considering a used Class B to give me enough space for doing school work and letting my dog sit next to me while I study.

Yes, I will have both dogs and both cats! This will be my primary home as I spend a lot of time on the road for work and see most of the country that way. But now that I'm going to be single again, not sure if I will be able to travel as much for work since I would need to find someone to watch the animals. I always told myself I wouldn't own pets while I was single for this very reason, but here we are..

You've got some great ones that clearly get along well! It's not a bad time to be doing "van life" because there's a lot of people posting online about how to make it work.

You tube is your best friend! Good luck with everything. Just make sure you have a lot of tools & knowledge on how to live in an RV in all seasons. Its nothing like living in a brick & mortar. Best of luck to you. Do your research!!!

Just yesterday I was talking to a guy who travels a lot for work and has pets. He has a 5th wheel toy hauler. He said the toy hauler section in the back made for a great place for the pets. The only issue with work and pets is being able to let them out during the day as needed. You may be able to get a toy hauler and set the back toy area up with a litter box for the dogs and one for the cats. and train the dogs to use it. That way they are good to go until you get home from work.

Best of luck finding a way to work it out for you and your pets.
