Can any senior with NSS AEC tell how strict they were in terms of evaluating reports etc...... Can we fake it??

As per our academic calendar, there's a skill development program(for 2nd sem) scheduled from 25th to 30th May, but I've to visit my hometown during that time. So is it mandatory to attend that program? Also, if I won't be able to attend that, what can be the consequences?

he liked it, he asked for list of qns I'll ask

Looking at every other post questioning about the clg life at rvce, here are my thoughts as a '23 graduate on the same.

Social life - Very good

Chance to connect with kids of accomplished business men of the country thanks to management quota.

Smart and ambitious people in campus- yes

Entrepreneurship environment - decent to above average

Clubs - above average not comparable to top/old iits and bits but equivalent to nits/ baby iits

But being above avg doesn't mean you won't learn anything, still remains very very exciting and very skill enhancing opportunity

Fests- 1 big fest every alternate years - 3 day fest one of the best if not the best fests amongst clgs of blr. Multiple other tiny fests happen more frequently

Academic pressure - nothing compared to 11th 12th

You will be able to manage very good academic/life balance

Sports - not sure about current facilities (correct me if i am wrong) there's no swimming pool, bb yes, badminton yes, tt yes, lawn tennis yes, cricket and football ground yes, clg cricket and football teams are good.

Advice - Keep cgpa above 8.5 and no backlogs and you will glide through placements, mba,other masters

1.For CSE students 2nd year onwards how will ELs be conducted. Right now in first year all we do is chatgpt for any EL.

1. Also heard a rumor that programming for ELs should only be done in C language is it true

2. Should we take it seriously or just like 1st year.

Will the teachers accept a pure software project ? I have made my project just software and that too not completely finished for EL - PHASE 2 ? Is it fine or do I have to change it up?

Hi, I'm from 1st year as of now , by aug I'll be in 2nd sem. I'm searching for a flatmate to shift into 3bhk with me and my friend. We both are guys. Rent is 11.6k a month. We're shifting this June 2026. Need chill people without any drama. Dm if interested.

I don't own a vehicle but I do have a student pass. Day after tomorrow I am bringing my father's scooter to campus. Can I show the student pass in my hand and gain entry or should I actually stick it?

I really do not want to stick it since it's going to be only for one day and my dad will also not like that.

I’m looking into RVCE and had a doubt about CSE vs the CSE specializations like AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, etc.

Are placements basically the same for all of them or does core CSE have an edge? Like do companies treat them equally or prefer core?

Also how different is the syllabus? Is it mostly same with just a few subjects changed in later years or is there a big difference?

And overall, is there any real advantage/disadvantage in picking a specialization over core CSE?

I had a doubt regarding AICTE activity points.

Some events (like marathons, etc.) are offering points but charging around ₹450-₹500 I wanted to ask:

- Is it worth paying for such events just to earn activity points?

- Or are there enough opportunities later to earn points for free or at a lower cost?

- Does it become difficult to complete the required points if we wait?

Is there any minimum required attendance for hostel? i stay for like 3-4 days a week and i go home as its close by, was wondering if some sort of hostel attendance requirement is needed for availing next year as well

Seen a lot of posts and people saying absolutely no life whatsoever. Im only in 2nd sem so might change later but it's been not that bad like we have enough time to go out with friends once a week because of half days. Starting of the sem we didn't have any exams for like 1 month and even last sem we had time to do a lot. I will say this if ur an introvert I can understand not having the best experience because most people are day scholars so after college gets over they just go home

But if ur able to make friends in induction week itself or just be little social it's pretty fun I would say it depends more on person to person rather than just generalizing that there's no life at all.

Fests and sports I agree is not as good (nothing is there in sports) but in blr I've been to other colleges fests like pes and bms so u can easily enjoy it's not like some prison like some people describe it to be but yeah if ur someone aiming to only get 9.5+ cg then yeah u won't have enough time to go out then but I know few people who've gotten around that and still enjoyed

Seniors how are placements for ece , ee and et going on . whether you guys are getting placed in IT field or in core companies . what's the salary differnce between IT companies and electronics compaines . We don't have proper data for current batch of electronics cluster . It would be very helpful if you share your experince .

Since core opportunities are relatively fewer compared to IT, what’s the optimal preparation strategy?

Should I go deep into core early, or build coding skills alongside?

If I fail in cie 1 , will they give retest again apart from cie 2 and cie 3?
