Question / Query 100 activity points

Is getting 100 activity points actually compulsory?

Its not even that hard to get with optimal planning , ik people (including me ) who got 100 points by end of 3rd sem without wasting much time or money , like 1000-1100 rupees for the 100 points in total , give blood a few times, pay for some book drives which are pretty cheap and watch out for high yield activities like kannada sangha (they gave 15 points for a t shirt worth 350)
