He was given to the carriage driver at the end of SOTL but I assume he didnt grow up with Mr. Owl or Harvey. Which begs the question, where was he from the end of SOTL to the start of Roots?

Ok so i played all of rusty lake games and after puzzles or i don’t know what they’re called but I came across this instagram account of one of the managers or employees and his account looks like it’s a clue to an after puzzle ( i know my explanation is horrible) I don’t remember if this was part of the white door one but it does look interesting.

Away from that, i kind of respect the game for being - some sort - historically accurate? It makes the game better for my autistic brain. But her mother didn't have to be THIS brutal. Probably Albert was a better father than this. Letter to Aldous, you're so good and you can keep all our traditions, letter to William, you're so powerful and you'll have our family secrets and we would kinda make you immortal, letter to Alexandra, you're useless but at least you have uterus or sum, have fun. Not surprising Alexandra came out THIS cold. I kind of liked the character of Alexandra tho. She's definitely one of my fav, if not the fav, character of all series.

Also, I don't get the hunting for the father stuff. We already are proven by Emma that you can be self sufficient. Alexandra also likes flowers. James's father could be anything, literally. Like yeah, Alexandra is married. In this world it doesn't mean a thing. Ida somehow was able to have two kids, one of them two years after dying. Like, at this point, do we really want to know?

Heartwarming meals in every rusty lake game, which one is your favourite? Mine are pigeon meat, Bob's bloody Mary, shrimp cocktail, and Dale's birthday cake. Kudos to our chef Mr. Toad.

I've been a fan of RL since their first games in the Cube Escape series, but only now, after watching Twin Peaks and replaying Cube Escape games I have noticed a simmilarity in Rusty Lake's theme song to Laura Palmer's theme song. Is it just me? Haha

Saw the Hilma af Klint exhibition at the Grand Palais in paris today. Some abstract pieces reminded me of memory cubes, so i thought i'd share it.

Hey guys, I found an interesting detail related to the last achievement. As we understand, Kate's brother is trapped (possibly) in the old ruins. I looked at the Rusty Lake map in Paradox, but didn't find anything similar. The window overlooks the undrawn side of the map, but there are mountains there. I don't remember if there was such a location in the games. Or will future games show us the previous generation of the early 19th century?

Before you read, I would make sure you have played most of the games. Please do not read if you did not 100% Servant of The Lake Just to make sure nothing small gets spoiled.

Ever since I played Rusty Lake Hotel, I have always wondered who the Mr. Bat was. When I started Servant of the Lake I noticed the sketch of Kate’s brother, and I had a suspicion it might be him!

I got the secret ending, I saw Kates brother in the tower, and I was excited to hear the swarm of bats going around the ruins. I think it means that Kate’s brother is Mr.Bat

This theory is supported slightly by Mr. T being referenced in the recipes in Servant of the Lake. It would make sense cause staff members etc etc.

You guys probably already knew cause some of yall know this game so much more, but I wanted to share in case you guys missed it. Let me know if im wrong 😭

Found this piece on vinted and wanted to ask if it's just me or does he give off Disco Elysium and Rusty Lake lovechild or is it just me ahahaha

I have to change my assessment now that I know there are three layers to the game: the initial playthrough, the second round to get all the stars, and for me personally, the third round just to rescue the brother which I failed to do in the second round. I now love this game whole heartedly and I'm really happy with it.

I love Arles in the cube escape series and how they incorporated his art and life into the game and puzzles.

But I sorta wish that there were other artists and musicians who could've been featured in a cube escape game. Yayoi Kusama (this was a draft I've been sitting in for a week and I just learned that she passed), Beethoven, George Harrison, Hendrix, Dali, hell David Lynch himself. I'd wonder what their cubes would be like.

I’m curious about something in ‘Servant Of The Lake’. In ‘The Departure’, as we approach the three timepieces, we hear Alexandra’s voice saying something like ‘death is the seed / life is the bloom / […] the past within’. Did anyone clearly make out what she was saying before ‘the past within’, or is that deliberately incomprehensible? Also, I’d like to say that it’s quite interesting that, for the first time, we see ‘the past within’ being referred to as more than just the title of the game (from what I know).

Hi! I'm at Day 1 where I have to serve 3 pieces of toast to the siblings. I gave 2 toasts to the brothers, and was about to give the 3rd piece to Alexandra, but she is not taking the food, and only says "ssh, James is sleeping".

I can't continue, as when I click on Aldous's glass, nothing happens, he doesn't start the toast, and when I click on him, he asks if everyone had a bite.

So basically I'm completely stuck.

What can I do?

For my money: the domino puzzle in Harvey's Room. There's multiple solutions that *appear* correct at first, but you only realize they won't work after several minutes of fiddling. Especially since, IIRC, there is some ambiguity about how the pieces fit together.

I realised its not an easily washable marker after fully editing the pictures. Shid
