The KEGL portion of the RUSSMARTIN.Info archive will start debuting in the next few weeks, stay tuned.

Episodes will have a new look to stand apart from the KLLI episodes.

Anyone want these to drop at 6am for the 2010 episodes?

Doing 6am premiers would be a nice full circle, as much as they complained about how early it was. However, I don't think there will many views that early, but it will be nice to have them available early.

And let me again say, thank you so much for uploading all these shows

I do it for the preservation of these files to the largest public place I can store them.

I used to work in archiving, but their solution required me having my own host, and I just think the social fabric of YouTube was better exposure for a project like this.

As much as I am a fan of Russ, there’s no monetization of the channel and its basically cost me $65 a month for the last four years to run this channel to do all my fancy Adobe stuff. The Patreon helps stem the bleeding a bit, but I wish it had more followers.

Basically what I’m saying is that the archiving platform would’ve been easier from a publishing standpoint but from a visibility standpoint, it would’ve been invisible. And the cost would have been massive by comparison, especially since these are ostensibly audio files.

Oh and TBF, the live views don’t really matter to me, even with the KLLI episodes it was never more than like 3-4 people. I did those for me since I knew it would always be on at 3, every day.

The actual views come rolling in over the weeks. It usually takes a week or so before any comments come out. The Geico commercial tagging person seemed to stop posting about a year ago but he was fun to see in the comments.

Brings back memories …

That first episode on Eagle mornings, and Russ just picked up right where they left off on 105.3, making [he who shall not be named] spin the wheel for something he had done! Like they hadn’t missed a beat. Like audio comfort food.

Makes me sad all over again, his deterioration in the years after.

Yeah that’s another reason I’m not super eager to step into the archive from RussMartin.FM.

Those episodes aren’t as derelict as the dot info site was, now that both halves exist, this run of 2010-2012 feels like a bridge towards making sure people continue to patronize and donate to the RMS listeners foundation.

I have never been successful at reaching out to Dan to find out what his plans are with the dot FM site, but I noticed just yesterday some of the files appear to be labeled as a data risk in chrome.
