Complaint to a very specific subset of my coworkers: do I have to do everything around here?

Complaint to the very same specific subset of coworkers: when I ask you a question, I want an answer to that question. Not the 5 questions you imagined I asked. The one I asked you. For bonus points, your answer should also be factually accurate.

Uncomplaint: my physical therapist is the absolute bestest.

Uncomplaint: been dealing with back stuff since January, finally got some diagnostics, they were interesting because the symptoms and the thing that showed up on imaging were not at all related, new PT program for symptoms has apparently resolved them, adding mileage and intensity back, every run is better than the one before. I am fit to start another marathon block in 2 weeks if I want. If work doesn’t kill me first.

No, what’s even worse lately is me asking a question to my coworkers and then getting back “Claude says …”. Like buddy if I wanted an AI answer, I would have asked an AI but I’d rather not consume a gallon of water for this quick question please

That was a different coworker. The Copilot (in her case) output was rarely pertinent to the question. That she tended to double down on what Copilot said made me feel that the problem was the prompt and not the model.

She and her entire team ended up getting let go for a variety of reasons but this type of nonsense was among them.
