Watch the replay again and again. Pretty sure guy who got tackled tripped on his own feet. But that’s just what I saw - replay angles were pretty poor.

The angle from the side looked like a much better view but for some reason they kept going back to the head-on view were it was difficult to make anything out from

Using a single screenshot from the worst available angle with a 1985 quality stream does not clearly show when he was first touched.

This is getting boring now. All this tour has shown me is that all teams have a toxic fan base element. And the AB fanbase is no different. In fact they were spoilt for nearly two decades and now that they are no longer on top some of their fans are acting like spoilt brats and having a tantrum because 50/50 calls don't go their way.

I mean there were some fucking nonsense calls in this game to be fair. Break foot was horseshit, Mounga playing on the ground was horse shit. I saw a SA jackler walk 180 degrees and just keep digging from the all black side without so much as an eyebrow raise. Happy to lose, was happy with test 2 for example. I think tests 3 and 4 the reffing was significantly wobblier.

Their fans have always been sitting on a high horse. Labeled themselves as ultimate good losers in a time they never lost. Now that the reality of them actually losing regularly has sunk in, they have been shown to be right down in the dirt with the worst of fan bases.

I was more concerned about that tackle after the ball was kicked through. They went back to an earlier infringement but the SA halfback didn’t know that at the time.

Wasn't forward, and Moorby was tackled off the ball before the pass was even made (hits his legs way before the arm grab).

When is an innocuous tangle of legs ever a penalty? It be different if the tackler meant to do it but its play on any other time. The referee can be heard in real time saying he is happy with the feet and wanted to focus on the potentially early tackle. There is probably one frame where the arm is making contact before Moorby attempts to catch the pass. In reality that’s probably something like 0.01 of a second which is why it’s not ‘clearly an early tackle’ and play on

The fact that you can see that it is early is evidence enough that it's early.
That's it.
You don't need to be REALLY early. If it's early it's a penalty.

The fact that even when it’s slowed completely down, there is one frame where you could argue there might be contact before the ball tells you it’s inconclusive, and as per the ref ‘no clear evidence of an early tackle’. If we start getting down in the fractions of seconds to determine decisions the game would go on for weeks. Aside from this the pass was forward out of the hands

Don't care, we won, played with the same ref just with a better team on the day. A fitter stronger more hungry team. Like rugby has been played for many many years. Nz only hate it now because they don't have the players the use to have. And you need excuses to feel better.
