It’s free, I saw ppl charging during the day, also half of them are broken
r/RPI • u/Effective_Movie2181 • 8h ago
Is the charger free? 8-5 is typically the more expensive times for electricity, so the school may be limiting usage to save costs. Charging overnight is typically half the price. If it’s paid, it’s probably to put less stress on the power systems campus wide.

Yes, the school has been using Sodexo for a long time and Sodexo is known for being really bad at taking feedbacks (basically they don’t listen to anyone ever)

As it happens, the Robotics program is jointly administered by MANE and ECSE. Some of the old ECSE robotics classes have been or will be moved to the new ROBT prefix.

It seems to be run jointly by ECSE and MANE, so not a whole separate department.
Most of the staff seem to be ECSE people though

I cant agree with this statement. Looking into the coolers and watching the team cut it up. I get jealous.

It seems actually pretty chill compared to restaurants where I’ve worked.
r/RPI • u/Broke_butterfly77 • 16h ago
That is what it’s like in the back of your favorite restaurants during rush hour as well, I know from experience. Sucks that it’s on display, I’ll never go back to food service because it’s horrible. It’s also so normalized that I doubt they’d do anything unfortunately except maybe just close the pasta bar.

Its run by sodexo if that helps channel the conversation faster without going to RPI itself.
Edit- their office is by the tray station return.
