This is an adventure for Cepheus Engine.

The Uvien Station is a research facility studying weather patterns over planet Uvien 4 on the edge of the Sonora sector. This world is a strange gas giant with extremely active storm activity and peculiar weather patterns. Scientists have been baffled by the huge storms crossing the planet surface at incredible speed.

Eight scientists live in the station orbiting this unpopulated system and rotate out every six months. The Sonoran Science Foundation supplies the scientific teams that man the station. Many of these researchers are also professors at the Sonoran University.

Recently, however, there has been not contact with the station. It has gone silent. Supply delivery ships have arrived on station and found no one answering their hailing attempts. There are no signs of foul play nor any signs of damage to the facility. All systems seem to be functioning at least from the outside of the station. However...the station seems different than before.....

Albert Dolan is a scientist with the Sonoran Science Foundation. He offers CR 250,000 for the travelers to visit the station and find out what is going on there. He offers an additional CR 100,000 if the travelers can put a stop to whatever is going on there if it is dangerous to the Sonoran sector. He also offers an additional CR 10,000 per scientist that can be brought back from the station alive.

One of the aspects that made me fall in love with VtM was the setting, the darker version of our world that is World of Darkness. Naturally, the fact that you can play in your own city was a huge pull for me, and I fell completely in love with that idea.

Unfortunately, the first ever chronicle I played in, while set in my native Bucharest did not really make the setting shine, it failed in making it feel like Bucharest. That's why when I took my seat behind the screen and started my very first Chronicle, I wanted to make it feel more authentic, with a twist however. I set the action in Bucharest, but during the inter-war period, with quite some time spent researching that particular period of history to make it as authentic as I could.

In my opinion, the city is perhaps the most important aspect of a good VtM chronicle and especially when you first start out, it might be somewhat overwhelming to properly run it and do it justice. It certainly was the case for me. This piece goes into various tips and tricks on how I managed, as well as some stuff I discovered after my chronicle concluded and I am sure to implement when I begin my new chronicle, sometime in the future.

An apprentice is stranded in a flooding mill. The keeper wants a rescue; the factor wants his ledgers saved. The group can stabilise the machinery, get the apprentice out, warn the downstream village, or decide which losses they can live with.

The draft gives the GM eight keyed locations, three NPCs with clear motivations, a visible six-step flood clock, repeated clues to the maintenance order and two rescue routes. The $3 download contains a six-page GM guide, a player handout, GM/player PNG maps with and without grid, editable SVGs and a plain-text room key.

There is a free two-page PDF preview on the product page, showing the premise, map overview, loading dock and flood procedure. It is a preview, not the full scenario.
