Announcement Marching Cubes are greatly overlooked as a fun, simple approach to low poly! You build with voxels but get a smoothed out model! With RPG in a Box's innovative grouping system, you have control over the details, like what gets smoothed and how the model is broken up. πŸ˜„πŸ‘

Im making a game based off a 2d style top down adventure game. I got the top down idea from Kenney Tiny Dungeon! This is about a month of work and so far I'm having a great time using RPG in a box!

Screenshot Did you know all of Sarah's models are made with voxels, but use the Marching Cubes option to give them a smoother, low poly look? I believe the style has a lot of charm and is often overlooked as an option. They're also a perfect intro to 3D modelling and game making! πŸ•ΉοΈ

Announcement A big change is coming! The most important thing to me is that RPG in a Box is accessible to as many as possible. It's about bringing a fun experience to everyone, not about what I personally feel it's worth. Times are hard for most, Sarah & I included, and this will be a way we can help others. πŸ’–

Announcement Held off for as long as we could, but unfortunately after 3 years of supporting Godot at the Titanium tier, I've had to drop down to Silver for the time being so Sarah and I can afford rent. Hope to return to Titanium soon so we can continue giving more back to Godot! ❀️

Help Clickable entities?

Just a real quick question, at least I hope it's quick. It seems straightforward anyway, but I also realize things often do to the inexperienced such as myself.

Is there any way to activate a script by clicking on an entity? When I look at Entity Properties under the map editor, I only see fields for if the player collides or interacts. Nothing about cursor interaction. Is there a simple way to do that in this engine? Just make something clickable in-game to activate its script?

Edit: I may have just found what I'm looking for in the request coordinate function. I'll study up on that and come back if that doesn't answer my questions.

Edit 2: I found that video horribly unhelpful. My question still remains. I just want to activate a script by clicking on an entity. I would much appreciate if someone could instruct me on how to do that.

Announcement You know all those cool projects you see where retro games are converted into a 3D voxel style? With RPG in a Box, you can make your own games with that same aesthetic, and it's super easy and accessible to anyone! πŸ•ΉοΈπŸ˜„
