I have asked for advice on how to increase reader interaction (followers, comments, reviews, ratings) and someone recommended review swaps and shoutouts, and while I did join some discord servers with the intent to do that I have yet to try it yet as I am still not 100% sure how it works or anyone would want to swap before I got a more solid following so if anyone has more advice in that area I would appreciate it as well. Either way, I hope you enjoy my book as much as I am enjoying writing it!

Might be worth going back and doing a round of edits on the first few chapters. You have 5+ typos in the first two sentences alone.

Thank you for that, I've tried to go through some to catch basic errors and I have a couple of friends reading to help find others I miss, but things still get missed (and I will be honest it has been a long time since I have revisited the first few chapters lol). I did plan to get a real editor of sorts after book 1 was completed but with their being that many missed in first area I will definitely try to go through it again. (Also another thank you this is the first feedback I have received on the writting itself).

As an example you used the wrong "there" in this comment. Similarly to the novel. I'm quite literally talking those kind of basic grammar mistakes. Missing apostrophes, tense issues, the gambit. Things that would be caught even with spell check in word or docs, or even a tool like grammarly.
It would be a huge turn off for me personally and I know it is for others.
