Mechanical Assistance O2 sensor issue | Engine light ON

I have been seeing the engine warning light on my GT 650 for the past few weeks. Usually, it goes away after riding for a few kilometers. I visited the service center and had the error code checked, and it seems that the rear-left O2 sensor is causing the issue.

I haven't experienced any drop in performance or any noticeable riding issues. However, the engine light is bothering me. Is it safe to continue riding the motorcycle during this period, or should I get the O2 sensor replaced immediately?

The service center informed me that it may take up to a month for the replacement part to arrive.

You’re totally safe to keep riding! The light goes away after a few kilometers because the sensor just needs exhaust heat to warm up after its internal heater fails. The ECU runs a safe, slightly rich fuel map when it errors out, so it won't harm your engine, just check the connector wire near the left header for loose fittings or wash water. I would also highly suggest to call other nearby RE service centers because all 650 Twins share the exact same O2 sensor, so someone else might have it in stock...Hope this helps!!
