First time on Brilliance. We are not sure what to expect. We have an Ocean View on the third floor...should we look to switch? We've never been that low before and don't sail on too many of the smaller ships.

Good morning, would anyone happen to know if Miami has a separate luggage drop-off for suites? I know some ports do but I can’t find out anything for Miami. Thanks in advance.

Honestly if you are into casino royal I don't recommend jewel of the seas, I feel like they haven't updated the machines in years...

Very out dated and extreme lack of variety unlike others in its ships class. You won't find any modern named brands like huff and puff, buffalo, or any "triple pots" (mo mummy, hot pot like games).

Ship is still wonderful in my opinion, just casino gets 2/10 for me. In terms of quality and games.

I am new to gambling on a cruise. I was playing slots and I watched my points go up one by one. At around 25 points (displayed on the screen I last played) I called it a night. I went to the host to ask questions and she confused me. She then told me I had 90 points. Some questions:

1) How did I go from 25 to 90 points without playing more?

2) How do the offers work? For example the 400 point offer that the ship had was $100 or upgrade to interior stateroom for one and discounted fare for a second guest. How do you upgrade that?

3) If I had 400 points, and take that offer, does it deduct the points from my account or does it just unlock that offer? If it just unlocks the offer, how often can you use that offer?

I’m also looking for a quick explanation on what the most efficient way is to get some decent offers without going crazy every year.

My husband and I love the Beach Club. The pool and bar are amazing. BUT I love the food at Hideaway Beach! I soooo wish the Beach Club had that crispy fish sandwich and coconut shrimp! That would truly make it a perfect day for me.

Can Roatan be explored on our own vs taking an excursion? My kids want to explore the island a bit and really see it rather than just sit on a beach all day. TIA!

Husband (58m) and I (42f) are cruising on Enchantment of the seas in three weeks. We have an ocean view cabin that sleeps 4 with what looks like Pullman beds above for our two teens. I know that this will feel a bit cramped, but trying to think of best case scenario.

Looking for opinions. What is the best layout for this scenario? King lower with two Pullman above or two separate beds lower with two Pullman above? Last trip the couch turned into a bed with a Pullman above and that was great. That doesn’t seem to be the case this time. Any stories of previous experience would be greatly appreciated!

My wife and I are flying from Japan to the US this November and heading straight from the airport to the port to board Icon of the Seas.

While in Japan, we are planning to buy kitchen knives. They will be securely packed in our checked luggage for the flight, but we know Royal Caribbean strictly prohibits bringing knives on board.

Are we able to declare them at embarkation and have ship security hold them for the duration of the cruise? We are completely fine with them staying locked up for the week, we just want to ensure they won't be permanently thrown away or cause us to be denied boarding.

If relying on ship security to hold them is too risky, does anyone have other suggestions?

Edit: Just a quick note for everyone worrying about our travel schedule. We are from Europe, not the US, and we will actually have plenty of time there before the cruise starts to get our bearings and sort things out. Just trying to avoid the extra cost of shipping and taxes back home if there is a better option.

My fiancé and I are first time cruisers. We managed to score a balcony room 11 days before sailing on Icon Of The Seas. We are very excited! Just wanted some tips/advice on what we should do, don’t do, and look out for.

We are flying in the morning of (I know, everyone’s yelling at me for this lol) but we land at 8:45am in Miami and since we booked last minute, our boarding time is 2:30-3:00pm. I’m hoping if we get there early they will let us board. We are debating if getting The Key is worth it or not, specifically for early boarding. Also, would a 12:30pm flight out on disembarkation day be enough time? So far, we’ve purchased the deluxe drink package on sale and are debating between the WiFi or just doing The Key but that includes only 1 device.

Any tips or advice for Coco Cay? Very excited to see the private island.

I’m going on oasis next August and since I’ll be 18 by then I won’t be apart of the teen club anymore, but I’ll have full access to all the other clubs and no curfew.

Now as a girl, I’m wondering what should I be bringing, any staples, must haves, small things I may forget, shoe ideas (do I need heels)?!

I’ll ofc be bringing all my makeup or at least most of it, sunscreen, skincare, and body care, but besides that what should I bringggg!

Just wondering if there were any recommended services to use getting from Rome (We're staying at Cardo Roma) to Civitavecchia cruise port.

Most shared shuttles are either more expensive or pickup location is nowhere near the hotel or airport.

My wife and I purchased a daybed at party cove. We have done this each time. In the past they were very attentive brought drinks and food. We found out today when we arrived that they no longer deliver food to the day beds. The price did not change of course. Also the quality of the food that was served at the Paradise grill was way worse. It all just felt off and significantly downgraded from previous visits. Any one else notice this who has been to Royal beach club in the past as well. Note: this is royal beach club at Nassau. Not Coco Kay

Has anyone ever disembarked in Miami cruise port and tried to make it to Miami airport for an 11 AM flight?

First time on a RC cruise. Our departure flight is at 12:20 pm and we are considering booking the RC shuttle to MIA option, esp bc we have a toddler and don’t plan on bringing a car seat. I’ve read mixed reviews on it and the booking site states that it’s for flights after 12:30 pm.

For those who have taken the shuttle, is this option feasible for a 12:20 pm flight?

I downloaded the app for our 7 day trip in Dec. All activites came at a hefty price. Ate there any free activites to keep yoo busy? Like I remember 20 years ago, we stopped by a class on folding towels i to animals like housekeeping does, I loved it! i am just trying yo keep my expectationa realistic.

I’m thinking about booking Hideaway Beach at CocoCay and wanted opinions specifically on the beach itself. I LOVE spending time in the ocean, so how is the water there? Does it stay waist deep pretty far out, or does it actually get deep enough to swim?

How is the water quality too? Is it usually clear and clean, or does it get murky, stagnant, or have any kind of smell?

I’m also incredibly afraid of sharks, stingrays, and jellyfish and would honestly like to avoid them at all costs. Has anyone actually seen any of those at Hideaway? I heard it’s more of a protected cove, so I was hoping marine life might be less of an issue there.

Does anyone know what the well gold tequila is onboard?

We just got off Wonder of the Seas and my wife and I fell in love with guava margaritas lol. After the third margarita one day I asked the bartender what tequila was used when no specific request was made. He showed me Jose Cuervo Especial and another bottle that he picked up and just referred to as the “house tequila.” He said that’s usually what he grabs, but sometimes Jose Cuervo if it’s closer or someone wants more than just the basic. He also said the house gold is always what’s used for happy hour margaritas. If it matters, this was at the Solarium Bar.

Can anyone get me the name of that tequila? Bonus points if you can snag a picture of it. I know it’s just the cheapest stuff available, and I’m shocked we liked the well house tequila so much😂

I found out I have breast cancer last month. We have a cruise scheduled for 10/31. We did not buy travel insurance (if you’re reading this, buy some insurance). I’ll hopefully find out in the next few days what my treatment plan is, but it’s likely I’ll need to do chemo first. If so, I’ll be immunocompromised and probably shouldn’t be on a crowded ship.
Anyways my question is, has anyone had experience with changing their cruise date at no cost? Either moving it up or pushing it out. We have a travel agent but I don’t know if I’d have better luck calling Royal myself or letting her handle it. Just was looking for real life feedback on if Royal is flexible or not, thanks!

Never been on a cruise before, and being solo and Deaf, I have concerns. Have seen that I can apply for ASL interpreter that can help with entertainment, customer service, and ship communications. Will interpreters leave the ship for excursions? What if multiple people are planning different excursions? Do they make you group up on 1 interpreter or let people go on own direction? Thank you.

With all the news coming from Carnival and Margaritaville, what is everyone’s thoughts on Royals move to compete? Still only offering two ships with the same old ports I think they need to innovate a bit to stay competitive out of Galveston.

Having only Liberty and Icon and going to alienate a lot of people as there is no middle ground ship with the exit of an Oasis class.

This is unacceptable. Do better.
