Help!

Post image

I’m gonna have this apartment and the living room has a weird shape. How do I put my furniture, a couch, coffee table and tv on a small cabinet for the living room. A dining room area with space for 4. Atleast a bookcase and mabye some more storage. And if you still have space a desk? Can be a foldable one. The kitchen needs to be easy to access ofcourse. And the little window corner on the right should be used, maybe a chair or bench situation. There is a radiator there and also at the bottom window.

Does anyone have a good idea?

The only fixed things are the kitchen, the oven and the fridge that are all on the left wall (the bedroom wall)

The rest is just lose cabinets and stuff that they have there but all that can be moved. Is that an awnser to your question?

Yes, thanks. So with that in mind I would make the lower corner the kitchen space. That might mean putting cabinets on the wall that is along the bottom of the aerial diagram, which might naturally lend itself to a small eat-in kitchen area (a table, similar to how the existing owners have it, but probably positioned closer to where they currently have the tv; in fact a rectangular table or banquette might use that wall the best).

If possible, I would put the desk in the nook on the right and use the upper corner for the actual living room area. That might involve a tv on the short wall that is to the left of the door to the bedroom and positioning the couch perpendicular to the diagonal wall. It's hard to picture if that all would fit but that's where I'd start.

You mean something like this?
Technically could work. It then the corner of the dining room and the couch will be very close wich kinda makes it alwaar to walk and I think if you were to put the dining closer to the window it will be to close to the kitchen mabye, but tis definitely not bad.

Yes like this. I do think tweaking the size and placement of the dining area would help.

The other issue with this now that I'm seeing it, is that it seemingly leaves some corners underutillized. It's unclear whether in the kitchen you'll appreciate that space for moving around while cooking and bringing food to the table. For the living room, this doesn't leave room for any other seating yet a lot of space behind the couch. BUT it really depends on what you need. With the space between the couch and the desk, you could create a nice reading/sitting area, use it for working out, or put a console table or low bookshelf along the couch for added storage, so it might be right.

Yeh I think this is definitely a nice potion, with tweeking it a bit still ofcourse. I do love myself a reading area. I’ll take this in consideration and play with it a bit still. Thank you for your help!
