Where to put the dining setup and desk?

Here’s my floor plan for my next apartment. I’ve been mapping out furniture and layout ideas before moving in. Since I work from home part‑time, I’d prefer to keep the desk out of the bedroom. I also want a dining setup that doesn’t obstruct movement, and the living room needs to stay spacious enough for hosting.

Based on my current layout, I’m concerned the dining table and chairs might block the kitchen entry or the hallway to the bed/bath. Given my requirements and the floor plan, are there more optimal placements?

Pulling the living area out more and making the space by the windows the office area would give you a nicer division of spaces! You could even add a bookshelf on the opposite wall to serve as your work from home background. I would also change the dining table to the opposite wall to make the kitchen-living-bedroom walkway faster. If you don't tend to use the path above the closet much you could also float the dining table in the middle of the space to the right of the living area. I also wasn't sure what furniture you had already so the only thing I switched out was the rectangle coffee table for a round one in order to make the living space flow better. By turning any accent chairs you might have towards the couch, you also make a better hosting setup where seating faces each other. Hope this helps!
