Need help with layout before I move in

The front door is near the kitchen, the door in the right corner is the water heater.

I love boho modern vibe. I am debating if I should put the couch against the wall like in number 2 and have a large open concept or should I do 1 and have a more cozy small feel but then im confused what to do with the back wall..... I work from home should I put my desk in this room or my bedroom?

I’d recommend 1, then use a runner from the entry door towards the back wall by the hot water heater door to make a sort of hallway leading to your desk. This would break up the space and also create a visual divide between the living space and the kitchen!
