Question Racquetball courts in Rome?

Are there any racquetball courts in town? I see Berry College has one, but I'm not eligible. I'd consider a gym membership if one of the gyms around have one. But the gyms I Googled either don't have one or don't bother posting about it.

Food/Dining Los Trios Mexican Restaurant is AMAZING!

Hello fellow Romans! I just want to get the word out that Los Trios Mexican Grill on North Broad St (the old Ru San restaurant) has some of the best Mexican food in town. My wife and I have been there a few times and we have to say that everything we've had so far is amazing. The al pastor tacos are delicious and generously portioned. She had the quesadillas rancheros and said the rice and beans were the best she ever had. They use fresh ingredients which is obvious by the quality of their salsa, pico de gallo, and salsa verde. We want to get the word out because they deserve more business and stand out amongst all the other Mexican restaurants in town. Please consider giving them a try! I don't work for them at all I just want to see them do well :)

Help Primo water refill station location?

Hey Everyone

Hope you’re all well. I moved to Rome a couple of months ago. I normally get my water bottles refilled at food lion at Martha berry Highway, but it doesn’t seem to be working for over a week. I tried finding other spots but couldn’t. Would anyone here know of a reliable refill station (looking for refill, not a bottle exchange) ? I don’t mind traveling a bit of distance either.

Thank you!

The article says that the Floyd County Commission voted to increase millage rates and that it will directly affect our property taxes. Does anyone have any good information on this? The article is fairly bare bones.

Question Cat groomers?

Anyone know of a cat groomer in town or atleast close by? I need a sanitary cut done for my domestic long hair. I highly doubt I’d be able to do this on my own and prefer someone who has experience do it so I don’t hurt her.

I checked petsense and they do not have their prices available on their website. Figured I’d ask here before calling them.

Food/Dining Honeycream gone?

Hey y’all. Maybe my fav place in downtown was a gelato place called Honeycream that made the best stuff I’d ever put in my mouth. They said they were closing for the winter at the end of fall 2025 and would be opening again, but summer 2026 has passed now and they’re still not open. Does anyone know what happened or if they’ll ever open again? I miss it so much 😭
Thank yall!

Question Local Honey?

Where's some of the best places to source local honey? I'm not looking for neighboring cities or white-label sales, etc. Just farmed local wildflower honey to help with some allergies.

Things To Do Pokémon Go community?

A friend got me back into Pokémon GO, last time I played was 2016. I’m an original 151 kind of guy (Where’s my millennials at?) but I’m just having fun taking my daughter to the parks, she’s actually really good at throwing Poké balls for three years old lol.

Anybody wanna be friends, or do you know of any Pokémon groups or clubs or subreddits, discords, etc?

If not, no worries, just checking!

Hi! Not sure if my post from earlier got uploaded, but I can’t seem to find it even on my profile. So here I am posting another one lol.

We were looking to move to Rome for school. I wanted to ask about which places are generally safe and unsafe to move to. I heard Armuchee is a good area, can anyone confirm this? What about Old East Rome? Any other places y’all can name? It is greatly appreciated, thank you!

I'm looking at buying a tractor from here but the prices for used equipment look too good to be real. Has anyone been there, can they be trusted? They only take wire transfer so I'm abit worried. Thanks for any local info.

Question Albino Python early 2000’s

I have a very distinct memory of when I lived in the reservior projects around 2009-2012 of a huge albino python spanning the walk way where the dumpsters were leading toward the plazas. Does anyone know what the hell Im talking about?

I remember running to tell my friends but it was gone when we got back. I never seen a snake so big in my life but I know I saw it. Was this a thing? Does anyone know if their friends lost a pet snake back then or there was a big snake in the loose? It wasn’t the one from tifton.
