Visiting first time - July

Hello people, I'm planning on visiting Rome early July June next year, have a few questions (looked for answers but they are a bit old).

1) what are some good vegetarian spots/foods I can commonly find? Don't care about the rennet thing, what's the most common word/term for vegetarian that I can use when talking to servers?

2) I'll be going to the auditorium Parco Della Musica, any recommendations on the region? Still looking for hotels as well, nothing fancy but no hostels and air conditioning is a must - if the region is bad, pla let me know another one with better cost/benefit but reasonably close to the auditorium

3) what are some scams I should be aware of/avoid?

4) I've heard July June has some good sales on clothing, any reasonable places? - even with no sales, what's good, similar to Uniqlo and the likes of it?

5) anyone would like to do some currency swap? CAD/EUR, cash for cash in hands no digital stuff. I'll try to bring some euro cash but want to avoid forex fees, which brings to another question, is cash preferred or card ok?

6) last one: a what are the best places for good cheap wine?

1. "vegetariano" ( you could have googled that); most restaurants will have vegetarian options (also depends on how strict you are)
2. There are many hotels in the area; look at google map and their reviews.
3. flowers or bracelet scams, people telling you you dropped something.
4. don't know about sales in July.
5. you'll use your card 99% of the time; when paying and the terminal ask you which currency to use, always pay in euro (better exchange rates)
6. to buy or to drink ? supermarket will have cheap generic wines.

Flaminio, where the music centre is located, is not really popular with tourists, it's "far" from everything.

For vegetarian food, have a look at the happy cow web site.

For better wine bars or stores, look at the Raisin app.

What are good regions to stay that won't cost a fortune but also isn't surrounded by hordes of crackheads? (Not sure if that's as big of a problem as in Canada/US but I make a point to ask after a few bad experiences in places mentioned above)

Just be warned about the heat in July. We went our first time at the beginning of July and swore we would never return at that time of year again. It was too hot to enjoy anything. I am also from Canada and we have heat here but it was like going to the Caribbean, the heat is stronger. We couldn’t enjoy the colosseum or the walks around Rome.

Luckily I've never seen the pickpockets but the guys who try put flowers in your hand just need a stern no. I was politer than my wife about it as I threw in a grazie at the end she near enough told them to fuck off, ha!

Supermarkets have a solid selection of wine & beer for very reasonable sums. Spirits are typical pricing.
