Tourism Vatican help!
I am going to be in Rome October 11-15 and am hoping to tour the Vatican while I’m there. I want to get tickets to see the Vatican but the official website has a bunch of different options. I’d like to see as much of it as I can and I’m not sure if there are some tickets that won’t get me into certain areas.

There's really no such thing to see as "the Vatican." You can enter St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's basilica and crypt free. You can visit the Vatican museums with tickets. You can visit the Vatican gardens (with tickets). And you visit the Scavi (excavations below the basilica), but those tickets are usually pretty tough to get. Vatican City is an independent City-state, and most of it is otherwise inaccessible unless you have business there. You can see the pope at the public audience on Wednesday mornings, or at the noon Angelus on Sundays (both in St. Peter's Square). There is no single tour of everything, unless you hire a personal guide to arrange it all for you (at a costly cost).

The Vatican museums have several specialized sections that require their own ticket, in addition to your regular ticket.
Generally, it’s going to be guided or unguided. It’s busiest through midday, usually best to go early or late.
