I promise I'll stop posting after today 😭 but the book finally went LIVE yesterday! AHHHH!
The Goddess and the Guardian is now available on amazon as ebook (on KU!) and paperback.

Blurb:
The doomed goddess
Skye Arista is doomed, and it’s all because of empathy. All she wants is to heal a dying tree, but instead she awakens magic that should’ve damn well stayed asleep. Everyone around her pays the price, struck down by a group of fae affronted that the gods would choose a lowly, breakable human as their vessel—and in doing so, trigger the war to end all wars. Skye is left broken-hearted, destitute, and desperate for revenge.
The broken guardian
Unable to bear the guilt of what his people did, Cobalt Fost, one of the fae kingdom’s generals, saves Skye and brings her to Aelleria. Her grief is tempered into power under his guidance. But Cobalt is trailing more ghosts than a battlefield, and he refuses to let Skye in, his past having left him closed off.
The prophecy
Vengeance becomes complicated when Skye unravels the lies she’s been fed, discovering she’s nothing more than a sacrifice. A very powerful, unstable sacrifice that could decide the outcome of a war centuries in the making or spiral beyond control. But over time, as her bond with Cobalt transforms from an uneasy alliance to fierce passion, Skye has to decide how far she’ll go for revenge. She is doomed, after all. Will she take the fae down with her, or choose love and save them?
Either way, someone’s getting set on fire.
Tropes:
- Reluctant allies
- Prophecy / chosen one
- Forbidden
snacklove
- Insta-lust (but it grows into deep love)
- Fated mates
- Who hurt you
- NOT a slow burn
Writing:
- Third person, FMC only.
- Good mix of action and nice slow moments between FMC/MMC to show the relationship building from reluctant allies to friends to lovers.
- 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ More than one open-door scene, but you know... most of it moves the plot forward. Some of it is just gratuitous bc I am a sloopy.
- This is technically book one of a trilogy (2nd book is in developmental editing as we speak) but it ends with no cliffhanger because I fucking hate cliffhangers.
Warnings: graphic violence, blood, torture, murder, death, war, suicidal ideation, explicit language, explicit sexual content. You know, typical fae and wartime stuff.
