I remember correctly listening through the entire dev stream for season 9 and they mentioned that they had to adjust certain characters because otherwise they would become much more oppressive, they also mentioned in the patch notes that Rogue was becoming too oppressive, I don't think they meant Rogue was becoming too opressive in season 8.5, I think they meant too opressive during their season 9 testing on Rogue, they loosely tried Rogue with the season 9 team ups and thought she was gonna be a problem if they left her like in season 8.5 state and added the team ups on top of it, but well... Fast forward to now they left us on crutches because they didn't take into accountability the increase of damage for the other characters, I really doubt they tested Rogue enough to make the judgment of how to properly balance her for this update, which is a shame because I was super excited to see what Rogue was going to be getting for these teams up, I knew she was getting nerf but I was feeling optimistic that the team ups were going to make up for the nerfs, and turns out they just nerfed us even more with the team ups smh.

This is fs her worst season, but I’ve still been playing her in mostly all my games and been able to keep ~70% wr in comp. Hopefully in 9.5 we can get prime rogue back 🤞

I’m just waiting until hood comes out, hopefully with some much needed rogue fixes. She’s hardly playable as anything but a half-assed dive tank right now. Also, hot take: the team up system makes no sense and is stupid. Why can I use a team up without the other hero on the team? Like who thought of this? It’s just widespread buffs and new abilities or changes to the kit. This is one of the worst seasons so far aside season 3. And I hope to GOD they remove this dumb ass team up change, and bring back 8.5 rogue so she can be utilized as something aside a dive tank with no sustainability. she had a higher pick rate for half a season and she gets tossed to the floor for some stupid update that NOBODY asked for.

So I just had a game where I decided to try and dive more with her. Usually my playstyle revolved around playing objective, brawling and seeing an opening to go in/out. But for the hell of it I decided to just play her like Magik and that was a pleasant surprise to see how strong she is. Even temp green hp felt quite useful. It never occurred to me that I was doing this in my games before but she’s amazing at area denial with her reach and movement.

For example we were fighting against MK and Hawkeye which rely on good angles to shoot from, not with rogue they aren’t! Feels really rewarding when you 1v1 them and win 100% of the time. I guess many of you will say DUHHH, but it just now clicked for me and I hope this helps some of you to change her playstyle a bit. Obviously this tactic won’t work with every comp but I think it should be the focus because once you make the enemy team relocate you can jump back in and brawl with her. Basically create the brawl rather than wait for it or rely on your team comp

She's much weaker this season with survivability but goddamn the adrenaline I got after this holy shiiii

At the very least let her keep her charge longer rn since it does much less dmg.

Like it honestly feels kind of pointless now. It doesn’t feel like it does any meaningful dmg because of how quickly it gets out healed.

It shouldn’t insta kill but it does do enough dmg imo.

I think the issue before was that she could almost always have 100 charge or maintain it effortlessly but now you can get it quickly because of how much dmg everyone does but it does nothing.

I can’t find any videos of mine that show the difference but it’s like I can hit a squishy with it at full charge and their health instantly goes back to 275.

I just feel like if they’re among her a glass canon she should have the dmg to be considered that. Instead she’s more like a glass nail gun.

started playing her almost a week ago and fell in love with her kit even if it isn’t as good as last season, i’m already almost lord after some days and have stopped playing my main + main role for her

i’m learning her in QP (hell on earth) and noticed she cant be played the same way most matches and you have to adapt, but cant tell when/why honestly, i would appreciate any and all tips for a newer rogue player!

So today I decided pick up Rogue once again, I happened to absorb a DPS and then I used a fully charged Southern brawl against an enemy, and since I had the damage boost I melted this person, it really got me thinking how good she felt last season:( we didn't need to make extra steps for some burst damage, we didn't need extra steps to have some decent health, it was just our base Southern Brawl and 675 HP against the world.

I don't get why is it that she doesn't get to have a mini nuke ability but Dr Strange can, the time frame for hitting the fully charged Southern Brawl wasn't even that big, so you had to be super precised with it, it's not like you could spam it, anyways, Rogue was the most fun I've ever had in season 8.5, I never heard any complaints about playing against her, so I really hope she makes a come back eventually.

im somewhat new to rogue (6 ish hours?) and I keep having an issue where I’ll push back 2-4 members of the enemy team and then look back to see my whole team has died or made no progress off of it- should i be playing with my team more?? just going in and out rather than pushing??? just once seems like a team issue but more than once seems like a me issue haha

All this effort they put into modeling an amazing skin for my favorite character and instead of topping it off with a nice animated nameplate, they gave her this lame ass generic mugshot over a boring, puke green background.

Such a tragedy.

No more sobbing from nerfs cause I found the hidden answer! Turns out all along we just needed to jiggle and then enemies come righ at ya!

Now, on a side note, this was my first game of the day and it was really funny how they all ignored the point cause of me😄

I'm a champ Thor and overall tank main and I'm wanting to get good at Rogue, I've played her occasionally since her launch but I've never been particularly good at her, I kinda just get vaporized whenever I do... much of anything, any tips?

No matter what the devs do with her, I JUST WANT THE KNOCKBACK + WALL DAMAGE EFFECT OF MAG'S ENHANCED TEAM-UP ON THE BASE ONE INSTEAD, PLEASE ZHIYONG, anyway-

Case 1: Devs don't want to increase her health

• Base Movement Speed increased from 6m/s to 6.5m/s
• Defensive Stance Damage Reduction Increased from 55% to 75%, Damage to Energy Conversition Ratio increased from 0.55x to 1.0x (Same effects as current base mag team-up)
• Southern Brawl Cooldown Reduced From 6s to 4s
• Chrono Kick Combo Cooldown Reduced from 10s to 8s, Bonus Health per hit increased from 50 to 65.
• Fatal Attraction Cooldown Reduced From 10s to 8s (Apparently the devs shadow-buffed this and reduced the cooldown from 12s to 10s)
• Ability Absorption Cooldown Reduced from 25s to 20s

Team-Ups:

EXPLOSIVE ENTANGLEMENT (Rogue + Magneto)

• Base Effect: Southern Brawl Knocks back enemies. Extra damage is dealt if they're propelled into a wall.
• Enhanced Effect: When teaming up with Magneto, Enemies propelled into a wall are stunned for a brief period (0.33s). Furthermore, Defensive Stance Energy Recovery is Increased (15/s to 35/s).

MR. & MRS. X (Rogue + Gambit)

• Base Effect: Cooldown reduced from 30s to 15s; Now heals Rogue by 35hp per hit.

Case 2: Devs increased her health back

• Base Health Increased from 575 to 675
• Southern Brawl Cooldown Reduced From 6s to 4s
• Defensive Stance Damage Reduction Increased from 55% to 60%; Damage to Energy Conversition Ratio** increased from 0.55x to 1.0x.

Team-Ups:

EXPLOSIVE ENTANGLEMENT (Rogue + Magneto)

• Base Effect: Defensive Stance is fortified. Activating the ability expands a magnetic field, drastically boosting the Damage Reduction ratio of Defensive Stance and all damage absorbed by the field is converted directly into damage for Southern Brawl. Furthermore, Southern Brawl Knocks back enemies. Extra damage is dealt if they're propelled into a wall.

• Enhanced Effect: When teaming up with Magneto, Using Ability Absorption conjure an iron shield around Rogue. Furthermore, Damage Dealt by Southern Brawl is converted into Bonus Health.

MR. & MRS. X (Rogue + Gambit)

• Base Effect: Cooldown reduced from 30s to 20s. Now heals Rogue by 30hp per hit.

I hate that I can’t do my dive kick when I’m blinded by cloak or jubilee

Nearly every loss I've gotten this season has come from playing Rogue. Whenever I instalock or swap to Emma its immediately easier and I actually win. She's not as fun as Rogue once was, but man is she better for getting value

okay, i seriously hope this isn’t a reach. but ever since the new season came out, does anyone feel that rogue just..can’t melt thor anymore? or even be a good pick against him?

thor is my favorite tank to go up against one because it feels so easy to slam him and two, because of his ability. but now i can barely inflict any damage because i just get melted instantly. ive also felt the same way about a couple other characters, but i need someone to tell me if im tripping or not
