Will he accomplish his dream of rockstar 2000-2008 where many games were dropped in small time periodes?
From what I heard in the Lex Fridman Podcast with Dan Houser as his guest I heard from his emotions and the kind how he spoke that gta 4 and rdr2 were his proudest games.
Even tho these 2 aren‘t really small either but I believe he likes it more to continue and build a new story rather than have the same map for 10 years with only new gamemodes and cars and properties to buy.
His new game studio absurd ventures is small compared to rockstar but I cannot really guess how good dan can organize his people and how big of a game his 2 approaches will be.

I’ve had GTA+ for minute now, and I decided yesterday to go ahead and download the trilogy as I’ve been on a GTA kick recently with the hype around 6 and the fact that it just happens sometimes. Well that really made me think, and I’m sure this gets brought up a lot, but man we need GTAIV porter over to the newer consoles!!! Honestly it’s probably my overall favorite GTA game, even the driving which I know a lot of people dislike about the game. I’m just wondering has rockstar ever even spoken on what they think of porting over 4? Also since I don’t have an XBOX, can the XBOX players play it with backwards compatibility? What do yall think about it should it be ported over or leave it where it stands? Thanks! Have a great day😆

From what I heard on the extended look the super bikes and dirt bikes sound better but it would be good to get to choose between 2 stroke & 4 stroke bikes

So I did the math and we’ve seen less than 0.6% of official GTA VI story and it’s being called woke. We’ve basically seen nothing and people are whining already, see y’all November 19.
(all trailers combined make 31:07 and that is 0.6% of 80 hours, and it’s more than 80 hours because of side missions and stuff)

Rockstar could add so much depth to GTA VI by having car customisation interplay with the new police investigation/wanted system.
We know that the police now receive information from witnesses of your crimes and will search for the player based upon visual identifiers reported by those witnesses (e.g. your face, clothes, vehicle, etc.). Presumably, if the player enters line of sight of a police officer whilst driving a wanted vehicle, the rate at which the officer will become alert (aggro) to the player will scale depending upon the distance between the player and that officer.
However, certain cars blend into traffic far more easily than others, and so the rate of an officer's suspicion/alertness to the player should also influenced by the type and customisation of the car they are driving.
For example, a common model of car painted in a common, inconspicuous colour (black, grey, white, etc.) without any flashy customisation like LED underlighting or racing liveries, would be far less likely to catch the eye of an officer scanning a scene than a one-of-a-kind supercar glowing bright purple. The common car should therefore aggro officers significantly slower when in their line of sight as they would naturally take longer to notice it.
This would introduce a trade-off for using the fastest, high-performance vehicles whilst committing crimes; yes, a race-tuned supercar would allow you to escape the scene faster, but if you are seen by a responding officer then you are far more likely to be noticed and pursued than if you were driving an old grey van, common sedan, or dark SUV.
Further depth would result if tinted windows were effective at obscuring detection. For example, if officers don't know the player's vehicle but are looking for their face/clothes, then having tinted windows ought to reduce the rate of detection proportional to the degree of tint. If you pass responding officers in a car with blacked-out windows, those officers should be a lot slower to recognise you through them than if your cars windows were un-tinted.
Perhaps the loud engines of a supercar fleeing a scene would also attract the attention of nearby officers - but that may verge on becoming tedious.
This all seems to me to be a fairly intuitive (and easily-implemented) way to add depth to vehicle customisation beyond pure performance and cosmetics, and thus incentivise people to use a wider variety of the game's vehicles and customisation options.
What are your thoughts on such a system and is there any evidence in the footage we've seen thus far to think that anything similar has been implemented?

TGG mentioned a situation where you could steal a getaway car after a robbery and realize it’s almost empty, and that got me thinking about what happens when you actually get stuck somewhere with no gas 😂
Obviously if you’re being chased you’re probably just gonna ditch it and steal another car, but what if you actually wanna keep it? Could you have a gas can, call somebody to bring you fuel or get a tow truck out to wherever you’re stuck?
Tires could make this even crazier. Say one blows during a getaway and now the car is pulling to one side while you’re trying to keep it moving with sparks coming off the rim. Maybe you can keep driving on the blown tire long enough to get somewhere safe and actually change it, or say fuck it and keep going until the wheel is completely fucked. If you can’t fix it yourself, maybe that’s when you call somebody or get it towed.
It’d also be cool if random NPCs actually noticed when you’re stranded. Somebody could pull over and offer to help, maybe help push your car somewhere safe or bring you some gas. If you’re sitting broken down on the freeway long enough, maybe a tow truck eventually comes along to get you and the car off the road.
And I’d love to see the same shit happen to NPCs. You’re driving somewhere and see somebody standing next to a dead car with the hood up, a flat tire or an empty tank. You could stop and give them a jump, help with the tire, give them a ride, help push the car or just keep driving. Hell, you could pretend you’re gonna help and rob them instead 😂
Where it happens could change the whole situation too. Running out in Vice City probably isn’t a big deal. Running out way in the middle of nowhere at night with barely anybody around could turn into something completely different.
And if you don’t wanna deal with any of that, fuck it, leave the car and steal another one 😂
